So they succeeded in acquiring the powers of the 7 titans, but Grisha stole/kept the proginitor titan and gave it to Eren.
That also means there's 7 types of titans probably? We have beast, giant, armored, Crystal, what else have we seen?

No there were 9 titans. Eldia was only able to capture 7 of them. Progenitor was the king who left for the island and it was everyone's goal to steal it and I don't think they mention what happened with the last one. Originally Posted by Salodin

Uh, I thought the whole time the royal family wanted to eat eren was cause his father stole the royal families titan power, aka the coordinate power iirc. I'm assuming that's the proginator because it has power over the other titans.

I'm having a moment here and can't figure something out, even though I think all the pieces of the puzzle are staring me in the face...
Getting injected with "the syringe stuff" (titan spinal fluid) turns one into a mindless titan/potential shifter, right?
So a titan needs to eat another shifter to regain consciousness.
But some special titan abilities are passed on through the syringe (Eren's "Armor"), as well as sometimes by consuming another shifter with unique powers (Eren eating Grisha).
Do we have any way of knowing which powers are "One of the Nine", and which are for lack of a better term "common"? Are the latter somehow manufactured?
Can a titan possess more than one of the unique powers?

Which means the royal family has none, which makes sense since its all but dead except for Zeke and whatsherface running things now.
How Reiner and Bert treated the Corp after they betrayed them makes sense now that we know the mainland hates these people like the Nazis hated the Jews. Still need more info on the powers themselves; if it wasn't for Eren getting armor powers of his own I'd say the tall titan and armored titan are 2/7 but now I'm not so sure.

They were Eldian children from the internment camps within Marley. It's possible only Eldians can turn into titan shifters, otherwise why would the Marley government pass the Original Titans' powers to them instead of their own people?
