Also even though they are special, i wasn't expected to see those (Nation Mission NPC) still alive

I thought it was interesting to see how they slightly altered the Archon models (They're Archons, right? >..>) They've all got some weird goggle setup on them at some point and they're clothes now have some weird eye in addition to their original marking.
Yeah, Yoshi mentioned story NPC will have updated models.
Kind of underwhelmed... I was expecting this to be the video that showed Odin dropping elbows on Bahamut or some junk.
Maybe there will be another video to come. Keeping hope alive.
They are also wearing Raptorskin Satchel belts. Am I to really believe that such elite members of the world are wearing Raptorskin Satchel belts? Why not Peisteskin Hunting belts, or Cobalt Plate belts?
This is just too ridiculous to bear.
Immersion level: 0.
I thought we wouldn't be able to see belts in the future, so technically they are just wearing whatever outfit now magically has belts attached. They had mentioned the core characters would be changing slightly, so not really surprised.
I think the end of the video is a bit of a let-down. The world being destroyed is pretty epic, then they clip to some epic scenes of evil baddies that there are to fight, the archons are like "mmkay we'll stop praying now" and then POOF! adverturers appear and ride of to no where in particular on their chocobos. Maybe once the VO is in it will be a bit more interesting .. "crap lets run off and punch bahamut off the top of his castle, quick fetch the chocobos!" but right now its like "wtf, we're alive, lets get outta this place."
They just seem overjoyed to see that the world wasn't actually destroyed.
Clearly they were just spiritbonding some shit gear.
As for showing belts, they said that the belt graphic will be chosen based on the body armor you are wearing, and that your actual belt (or lack of one) will not be reflected visually.
I thought the video was great personally. We got to see what the future looks like after Bahamut was released and got to see some up coming end game content. Now once the game is out we'll get to learn why the future looks as it does and what happened while we were gone by playing and doing the story/missions.
So much bitching happening on other forums about how much it doesn't make sense and how much we don't know, am I the only one who'd rather wait and learn the story from playing rather than learn EVERYTHING from a trailer?
Yeah, the bitching is annoying, as usual, but I must say I was confused at first too. Somehow I remember them saying that the other part of the video will reveal what actually happened and why the world was saved. This video didn't explain shit![]()
I bet the hume WAR is totally pissed that he dropped his Bravura before they got tele'd.
That was lame.
It looks like the hume is riding the legacy chocobo. I'm assuming they wanted to release this video in full since benchmark will be the opening like last time.
Anyone know if they've released the music in the first half of the trailer (read: the old trailer) as a standalone single or something?
You mean the song that plays during the End of an Era bit?
It's called Answers and it's been around since the 1.0 alpha.
Aye, that's it. Had no idea it was around before that first 2.0 trailer. tyvm.
The world ending part is still great. But then... it's like... everything is green and awesome and we didn't die, yay. Did somebody save the world while we were gone? Who cares, free chocobos, green happy grass, wheeeee!
As a post-apocalyptic call to arms for epic battle and mystery, it is kinda lacking.
It's not a post-apocalyptic call to arms really... it's a sigh of relief that Bahamut's release wasn't the apocalypse. Everyone is psyched that Eorzea still exists and all life wasn't wiped out. Your journey begins by returning to civilization and unraveling what exactly happened immediately after Louisoix whisked you away as well as the 5 years that elapsed before you reappeared.
