• Unrelated to the Caps losing, I have realized the following: I cannot have an Eastern Conference team. Some people can swing it, but I found myself at the Caps game not caring for a shadow of a wisp of cloud of poop fart about them. It is just not the same. I am Preds through and through and I'm okay with that. I fucking hate the Hawks and I think I am a bigger Hawks fan than a Caps fan. The Eastern Conference should be abolished to slavery to the Bestern Conference.

I feel the same way; I can't really get into any of the Eastern Conference teams. I wanna say the Habs are my EC team because I fucking love Montreal and I lived there for awhile and my gran was there forever and it is a fucking amazing city ... but I just can't get into the Habs the same way I do with the Hawks. Sometimes I'll put on a broadcast just to have on the background but I won't watch it start to finish like I would a Hawks game or a really juicy WC match up.

That being said I still want to go to a game at Bell Centre before I die.

I got the chance to go to the wings opener yesterday, and wow yea it fucking sucks we lost. The crowd honastly wasnt in to it at all the biggest cheers came when they where announcing the big 3 (Z, Pav, and Kronwall). I got nose bleeds seats but it was an okay view. But the crowd vibe was just negative all around. everyone around me was just pissed off making there own criticisms on the wings. A couple of them didn't know what the hell was going on because they were talking about getting rid of Howard. Sadly he has been the best player in these games so far. Him and tootoo both are on my A list right now.

I've used Vipbox at work and never had a problem. Just never clicked on anything other than what was necessary to get the game running.

I was thinking the same thing the last couple days. People watching every single game and going crazy over all the goals. It's nice to have hockey back, even if the Caps are terrible.

and if that was your first Caps game Wulfy, then I feel bad for you because that was the worst I have ever seen/heard the crowd. I swear most of the people didn't give a shit about the game.

I blame this on Dale Hunter not being the coach. From what I've read based on yours and Bregor's rants, and not seeing first hand, but I get the feeling the team isn't responding to Adam Oates as the coach?

In which case it would be them not responding to BBQBoudreau, Hunter, and Oates, at which point maaaaaaaaaaaaybe you should start considering that it's not the goddamn coach that's the problem.

Boudreau I get just because he had no prior ties to the Caps. But Hunter and Oates are both former Capitals who performed well for the team. The players had/have no reason not to listen to Hunter/Oates. They haven't come close to smelling a Cup final with their current roster. It might be time for GMGM and Leonsis to really take a look at this team and see what the trouble spots are. I half wonder how tempted they would be to get out from under Ovie's contract if they were able to get a good package in return for him.

That's what I've started to think. Ovie's play has become completely uninspired and it seems like he only steps up if the puck is near him (only to lose it to his standard toe drag).

Well, the team really hasn't had any time to get to know Oates' system at all really. I think that is part of the problem but I really don't know why Ovie was standing around all game. If he continues to play like this, I would definitely jump on the trade him boat. I'm not on the "blow the team up" bandwagon yet, it's 2 games and 2 weeks under a new coach and system. At the moment, I'm hoping the NHL signs on with the Olympics and Kuznetsov decides to come next year, him and possibly Forsberg being added to the lineup would be a nice boost in the talent of our wings.

I still hate the BBq firing, the team was built to play in his system and it wasn't until management had him go more defensive because the offense disappeared in the playoffs that he changed things around and the team retarded turned on him. The team definitely responded under Hunter though, not sure why people think it didn't. Beating the Bruins and the Rangers, minus one retarded ass double minor, seems like a pretty good response to me but this team was built to score and everyone keeps wanting to hold them back, to the point that they seem to have lost their scoring swagger/touch.

Lets see if Oates can get his system working and the team pulls out of this funk before calling for heads though.
