its 1980 all over again!
Erik Cole is threatening to retire at the end of this season.
It's totally understandable, he's only gonna get $18m over 4 years. Plays the family card, but it's not as if your kid(s) are gonna be the same age over the duration of your contract.
Poor guy.![]()
Watching Burke conference on tsn
Love the guy
@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Burke; "I'd like to go work for a team that doesn't get sold next time."
Caps set to sign Eric Fehr
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...ign-eric-fehr/Eric Fehr is coming back to Washington.
The Capitals have invited Fehr to training camp with the intention of signing him to a prorated one-year, $600,000 contract once he passes a physical, according to a team source. The move cannot be made until the NHL lockout officially ends with both sides signing a memorandum of understanding, which is expected to occur Saturday.
McPhee wanted to give the Capitals some more forward depth and Fehr, who is already quite familiar with the organization after spending the first six seasons of his career in Washington, was a good fit.
Fehr, 27, recorded 13 goals and 25 points in 21 games with HPK Hameenlinna in Finland’s SM-Liiga during the lockout.
The 6-4, 212 pound right wing was a first round draft pick by the Capitals in 2003 and played 230 games, recording 46 goals and 93 points, with Washington but was often sidelined by significant injuries to both his left and right shoulders.
In July 2011, the Capitals traded Fehr to the Winnipeg Jets for a fourth-round draft pick and prospect Danick Paquette in order to shed salary and comply with the upcoming season’s salary cap.
Fehr missed the first 20 games of the 2011-12 season as he recovered from yet another shoulder surgery and recorded just two goals and one assists in 35 appearances with the Jets. This summer, Winnipeg declined to submit a qualifying offer to Fehr making him an unrestricted free agent.

Ahahahahaha.
Ugh, that's true.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuck.
I also watched the Burke news conference. I loved how he threw Steve Simmons under the bus.
The question about the Leafs giving back to the fans that he snuffed just reaffirms my stance that the Leafs will do no such thing.
Yeah, for 600k? If it doesn't work out, eh.
They are pretty thin at RW, so who knows? Plus, we get his hot ass wife back in DC. Someone alert Wulfy.
So handsome
