I got nothing. We played god awful tonight. Low energy, sloppy passes, no strong first passes out of the zone, we didn't go through the neutral ice with speed which resulted in bad dump and chase hockey, our PK started out fantastic, but too many bad penalties eventually just caught up to us. Just all around terrible hockey. If you watched the last three games against Chicago, Detroit and Columbus, our game was totally different compared to tonight. Hell, the last time we played the Canucks earlier this season, we played so much better. This game was just atrocious.

I dunno what it is about playing the Canucks, but we always ALWAYS seem to sink into their tempo and flow of the game and resort to trying to match their style as opposed to pushing our own style. Tonight's game was not at all indicative of how this team plays or how good they can be. Day off tomorrow and hopefully a strong rebound against the Wild on Monday.

ALSO it was the Valentine's Day fundraiser last night, $40 gets you a signed puck placed face-down, luck of the draw. If it's blank you get to meet a Cap after the game, this year it was Backstrom. Sadly I wasn't that lucky, but I got left to right: Marcus Johansson, Joel Ward, Eric Fehr, and Mike Green.
