I love Marian Hossa. I lived in ATL when he was on the Thrashers. I remember reading an article where he commented on people in ATL not even knowing about the team and how he would have to explain who the Thrashers were at restaurants etc. It's a shame a more deserving team didn't get his ATL years because they were prolific.

As far as K-Cup expenses. I've only recently acquired my taste for coffee and decided to be fancy lady and have a simple machine do all the work while I figure out which kind I enjoy more. Plus with returning one machine I have extra free variety packs!

I never understood this. While I like Havlat, dude was always hurt. Then again Hossa seems to always be hurt now. So I guess it's kind of a wash. Anyways, wife just said when I finish the game room she will get me the NHL network since I'm doing it all by myself!!! Now I have to finish it before the season ends!!!!!! Sep how are you with drywall?

Keep in mind that coming off the 2009 season Havlat was our leading scorer, and the first two pieces of news we got about Hossa were that 1) we had just given him 100 years for a millions billions dollars and 2) he immediately needed shoulder surgery and would miss the first quarter or so of the season. Obviously it worked out in our favor, but at the time it seemed nuts that we gave up our high-scoring European with a questionable shoulder in exchange for...an high-scoring European with a questionable shoulder, but for even more money.

You would know better than me since he only had a cup of coffee with the Pens, but he seemed like he was relatively durable before arriving in Chicago. Or am I wrong. Just looked, before going to the Hawks he played 9 years straight of 72 games or more. He missed 10 games in 07-08 and 8 games in 08-09 but before then was a regular 80 game player. Havlat's only broken the 80 game plateau once. Geez. I didn't realize he was that injury prone.

Per AV the Hansen hit shouldn't have even been a penalty and elbowing guys in the head is just a hockey play. Duncan Keith finally vindicated in the eyes of the Vancouver staff! :D

Wow.. sad to see the longest tenured coach go. Is it good that he got let go? Wonder if Ryan Miller calling out his teammates contributed to it?

Pretty sure it's that irrelevant franchise the Predators. Trotz than Babcock I believe.

So basically any team that loses to the Jets from this point on will have a shake up. We're coming for you all!

Lindy Ruff short eulogy:

He was with the team through some of the hardest times. When Buffalo almost lost their team due to ownership issues. Losing the cup thanks to Brett Hull playing Hockey like Belichick coaches Football. Another ownership change. Basically losing your entire roster because your old owner couldn't afford to keep them. Rebuilding after the cup loss to become a contender once again.

That being said, he was with the team for too long, and things got stagnant. The players didn't want to play for him, and he didn't seem to care that much. He hasn't been fired from the organization, so he might find other work doing something else for Buffalo, and I really hope he does. He's got great history with our team, and he still deserves our respect.

I haven't seen mention of them firing Regier, if they canned Ruff but kept him then that's some sad shit. Ruff has been given some absolute trash for players to work with for much of his tenure, they shouldn't be surprised he fielded crap teams. Tomas Vanek is a very good player, but he should not be the best player on your roster by miles. The Ville Leino signing I'd cut slack for because he was coming off a very good year and I would not have pictured him dropping off like he did either, but most of the rest of their roster is garbo.
