Just watched all nine goals back to back. Thursday night seemed to be bad luck for the 'Peg, deflections and bodies in front. Last night the Caps were just picking corners. Also, teams might want to shade Ovechkin on the left circle while shorthanded, the one-timer is literally his only effective move these days.
Sunday night at MSG should be interesting. If getting Green and Laich back has made a difference, we'll know it. If not, lolSoutheast.
I hope people collaborate but here goes
Even though it,s still a bit far and not 100% confirmed, NHL players will probably be at sotchi in 2014. Teams already looking on how to make the best team for their country.
Before teams are officially announced, I want people to make their own mini Team 'Country' Aka since i'm canadian i'll make Team Canada (what imo would be the best Team Canada for 2014)
For your team, i want you to pick 9 forwards 6 Defensement (and 3 backup defence) and 3 goalies
Please note that each name are not in a specific Order
Forwards
Rick Nash
Sidney Crosby
Steven Stamkos
Erik Staal
Jamie Benn
Ryan Getzlaf
Corey Perry
Jonathan Toews
John Tavares
Defense
Brent Seabrook
Kris Letang
Shea Webber
Drew Doughty
Duncan KEith
Francois Beauchemin
Backups
Pk Subban
Alex Pietrangelo
Dan Boyle
Goaler
Carey Price
Corey Crawford
Marc-André Fleury
I'm looking for a more Young Team, with some experience which is why i left Brodeur and Luongo out
But there are so many players that it's hard to choose![]()
Id put a goalie with experience...and before sep toots MAF has a medal, he also played 0 games.
Yeah, I agree. I would have luongo over Crawford on the roster as the experienced backup. Makes sense to have either price or fluery as the starter, though to get them more international exposure
I would prefer Brodeur to Luongo as backup but i guess
Also Habs claimed Halpern from the Waivers
REally happy
Picking up Halpern like that could be theres some bad shit behind the scenes...more injuries that we dont know about.
Not that I'm saying he's a bad pick, he's a good faceoff man and good 3rd/4th liner, but I think theres something wrong to make that move.
Not neccessarly
Halpern is a versatile faceoff specialist who even at the age of 36 is still winning an impressive 56.7% of his faceoffs.
MTL currently has 48.6% Faceoff and 80% PK, most of the PK goal we give off is mostly due to Loosing faceoffs
And here are MTL curently top 3 Faceoff winner
1 Gabriel Dumont GP : 6 FO% 65% (not accurate due to 6 games played)
2 Ryan White GP : 22 FO 54.9%
3 Plekanec GP : 30 FO 50.1%
So Jeff Halpern with 30 games and 56% is now best of MTL Faceoff.
We all know that Therrien doesn't wanna play Plekanek too much on PK so Halpern will mostly be used for important faceoffs, like on PK, or important faceoffs in defensive area.
Ryan White is also injured, wont be playing tonight.
isnt plek one of our best PKers? >.>
another sloppy afternoon game...though its only been 8 min
Good start.
Down go the Bolts I say!
Bye bye Bolts?!
but yeah the Bolts are probably toast what the hell stranger things have happened
Man, and I thought it must suck to have 4 GAA in 2 periods.
But one period? Ouch.
Yeah this is karmic retribution on steroids
