I still just can't fucking believe they're separating the Hawks and Wings. Fuck everything about that. And I don't want the Wings in the East. God damn it.

besides, Wings are only good at drafting in rounds three and up, would be better with twelve fifths
See what you have done Blue, you have ruined a NHL tradition.
yeah the Jets could stand to be last place in another division
The following group of words will never EEEEEEEEEVER be uttered:
"rivalry between the *** and the Jets"
Hey now, we were 2nd last in our division last season.
Because we'll be a rival for all!
Spoiler: show
I applaud the Chris Jericho reference lol.
Don't knock the Wings 1st rounders they've gotten 2 NHL players from their past 10 years of 1st round picks.
...wait a second
Habs sign Budaj for 2 more years
Fun fact: his father played for the rangers
Fun Fact: Rangers are 81-0-6 when leading after 2 periods, dating back to 2010. They're 11-0-0 this year when ahead after 2.
That's not fun at all. I always hate stats like that. They win a lot when they have the lead and the game is already 2/3rds over? COLOR ME SHOCKED.
Drives me almost as batty as 'Team wins a bunch when xxx player scores a goal but doesn't win as much when they don't'.
I understand your point. I get like that sometimes too. Kind of like X team is a certain record with Y player in the lineup.
See that I'm okay with, because the end result isn't an obvious inference from the data that has nothing to do with what they're trying to express. Saying a team wins more with a player in the lineup than without shows that the player has some sort of positive impact on the team(or at least it could, if it weren't for the myriad of other variables that go into winning a hockey game, but I'll give it some leeway here).
On the other hand, they use the 'team has # wins when player scores a goal' stat to express the exact same notion, that the player is important to the team...except that stat is retarded because the basis of what you're saying is that a team has a higher winning percentage when they are guaranteed to have scored at least one goal than they do when they are not guaranteed to have scored a goal. In that context, you could replace that player with any other player ever, and generally have the same effect; when the team is guaranteed at least one goal, they obviously win a whole lot more than when they might not score any goals at all.
