I'll say, I hated the Forsberg/Erat trade but this team is a completely different team suddenly and undefeated since the trade deadline. Possibly just because the Caps said, "Guys, we are a good team, let's get better and go for it!" with that trade? Also, with Ovie suddenly scoring again, Erat is a solid addition, and gets some ice-time to get acquainted with the team due to the Laich injury. It sucked to see Erat get hurt by a dirty hit but thankfully, it wasn't bad and like I said before, it was never about him not being good enough, but I didn't see how he fit into the team.
I'm not sure if this is a Cup team atm but it's a hell of a lot closer then it was a few weeks ago and I wouldn't want to see the Caps in the playoffs atm.
btw, Forsberg is -4 with 6 sog so far in 2 games with the Preds.. Not that I would expect him to blow up the second he got into the NHL. I think the Preds just want to show the fans the new shiny and keep them interested.
And the Lightning strike!
The Yankee stadium games are shit. Lame match ups and Yankee stadium is shit. So fucking tired of the NY/BOs is best ever at all sports hype machine.
AND OVIE SCORES!
Овечкин!
Which it will do in spades in March. I wonder how many tickets they will even sell for this in Vancouver. It's in March, it's against Ottawa (the hell?) and tickets are already expensive as shit usually. Can't imagine how much it would cost to see this game, and since it's an eastern conference team there is no way many fans will fly out for it considering flights to Vancouver from Ottawa are typically $900 roundtrip. If it had been Edmonton or Calgary it might have been brought in more fans. I foresee it being a huge bust.
