Hey some of my other predictions weren't far off.

Predictions:
Detroit is going to be frighteningly mediocre. Barely makes it to playoffs.
Vancouver either wins it all or misses the playoffs entirely.
Minnesota does better then people think (ie makes the playoffs)
Rick Nash gets badly injured. Crosby does not.
Florida makes the playoffs.
Carolina regrets signing Semin

Detroit is mediocre. Minnesota is making the playoffs. Carolina has sucked since Semin signed the extension which I consider a partial victory.

I think Detroit moving to the east is perfect for the franchise. Any playoff battle between detroit and Chicago or for me vancouver would feel a lot like the Iginla trade, it should have happend two years ago.

Northeast: Buffalo
Southeast: Washington
Other: NY Rangers, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Toronto, Carolina

Central: St. Louis
Northwest: Vancouver
Pacific: Los Angeles
Other: Chicago, Anaheim, Nashville, Minnesota, San Jose

Short season means Toronto will get off to their normal hot start and their usual collapse will happen right when playoffs start, as they get swept out of the playoffs by a combined goal total of 25-2. Anaheim was pretty hot in the second half of the season, I think they are on the rise, while the Red Wings are on the fall since all of their good players are applying for Medicare.

I picked Toronto for the playoffs too, as well as Anaheim being hot and Detroit on the bubble and out(still to be determined). Carolina, Philly, Buffalo and Nashville were bad, bad, bad picks though, and NJ currently failing like Toronto normally does in the stretch.

Guys....
-I sat through JFJ turning this team into an unmitigated disaster.

-I sat through Jason Allison’s glacial shootout attempt kicking off seven seasons of ineptitude.

-I sat through Andrew Raycroft playing a 72-game season.

-I sat through Vesa Toskala letting in to a 190-foot goal, deflect an angled shot into his own net with his glove, and literally stand still to lose a shootout.

-I sat through Jason Blake as our leading scorer.

-I sat through a season of a goaltending cycle of Toskala/Cujo/Gerber/Pogge.

-I sat through an awful 0-7-1 start, and I watched every one of those games, including five really badly lopsided losses that were painful to watch.

-I sat through a year we started 4-0, only to collapse, going between Gustavsson playing well/the team not being able to score and the team scoring/Gustavsson being terrible.

-I sat through the collapse of last year, which broke my heart in ways no human being has, and made me question my devotion and dedication as a fan at the lowest of points.


I don’t care if we play 4 games, or 24. I don’t care if we win 1 game or 16.

I just can't believe....
