I think it'll be either the Islanders or Rangers in 6th, who both are up against non-playoff teams to close the season. (Islanders are all on the road though.) Ottawa has us and Boston, as well as Philly. I would rather see Ottawa, they may have beat us recently but they are easily the worst of the 3 bottom teams.

This would be pretty cool, would say a lot about parity in the league and how rebuilds don't have to last a decade. Also neither are really unlikable unless you are a loathsome Pens fan who holds grudges from seasons past.

I'd be down for that final as well (albeit, with the Isles winning because FUGaborik). Also, I don't know how anyone can hate Tavares, the guy is an awesome hockey player

The one thing that I like most about the NHL in this day and age is that we haven't had back to back winners in like a decade now. The closest would have been the two b2b finals between the Wings and Pens, but even then, we had 2 separate winners.

Act grateful you little shit, the Pens have nothing to play for the final 10% of the season and were missing 6 all-star/olympic caliber players (literally could've bumped everyone down one line adding neal/crosby/malkin letang/martin fleury had they been healthy) - could've airmailed it in but no we fight hard to win every game (and usually do). Maybe if your team could win 78% of their games like us you wouldn't be in the 9th seed needing such help.
