I'm not at all, they've fared better against us than Detroit has, and the Detroit vs. Columbus 8th seed battle is easily the most interesting part of this year's playoff race.

Parise leads the team in scoring and Suter is a Norris favorite, I think regardless of if they make playoffs you can't say the signings didn't work out great for them.

Disagree. The signings worked out great for Parise and Suter. If they miss the playoffs again(the 5th year straight) I don't see how this season could be anything but a colossal failure for the Wild. Considering most people were picking them to contend for the Cup after those two signings I find it laughable that they are on the bubble.

The team was a train wreck last year and certainly more than two players away from being a playoff team. They brought in two players who were expected to immediately be the two best players on the team, and both did exactly that. Even being a bubble team is a great improvement over the last two years, and they're clearly now on the cusp of being a very competitive team if they add a bit more depth. I don't think that can be considered a failure at all given that they still have several years of their best players being locked up. Backstrom is UFA and can likely be re-signed for less, and there's some solid veteran depth players that will be available in the summer too. I think your expectations of two players turning a near-basement team into a 4-5 seed are a little overdrawn.
