    Free Adobe Products

    I has come to my attention that Adobe is now giving Photoshop CS 2 and Creative Suite 2 out for free.

    I believe all you need is an adobe account. This looks like a pretty good deal. Hopefully someone else will be able to use it as well.

    Heh, I found that when I tried to deactivate CS2 to move to my new build. Googling the error for not finding the activation server led me to the page. I had figured it was for registered users of CS2, but I guess not (also explains why there are downloads for applications I didn't purchase, like Premiere).

    Just curious because I just started to download these. If I get the .bin files for the Creative Suite, does that cover all programs within or will I have to download each individual install?

    Creative Suite includes all the programs (flash, photoshop, illustrator, reader for the most basic suite iirc)

    Flash actually doesn't seem to be included, though I thought CS2 was the version I used in school, and it definitely had Flash. I wonder if the list is incorrect, or if it was taken out? Maybe I had 2.5....

    You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!

    What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don't require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See <http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1114930>.

    You are only legally entitled to download and install with that serial number if you have a valid license to the product!

    haha adobe trying to put the genie back in the bottle. Sucks for people trying to sell old licenses on craigslist and shit but let's get real who still uses powerpc macs, Adobe, you ain't losing shit.
