Holy shit, just spent 45 pokeballs trying to catch a mantyke and it take-downed itself to death...
asshole.
You need to beat the Elite 4 to unlock the 3rd Pokemon and appear on someones FL as online.
Maacha, I'll take your Shiny Noibat and raise you this....
Spoiler: show
Oh wow. you can get the X and Y exclusive pokemon from friend safari. I thought they wouldnt have allowed that for some reason.
Im addicted to wonder trade. Even if 90% of my trades end up being flabebe. I can't wait until they open the pandora's box of allowing older version pokes to be traded in.
Won't december just mean an influx of crazy hacked pokemon?
If everything works like Nintendo is planning, it shouldn't. Nintendo has said that the bank is set up to not allow hacked pokemon to be uploaded, but we'll have to see what happens.
Never got around to beating the E4 in Black but I'm in no hurry.
WHAT THE FUCK. If you kill some and their item kills you and you both have no pokemon left, they win.... fucking BULLSHIT.
Ugh back to 1506 rating. That guy was 1600 too... Would have been killer points to win.
Anyone use a Noivern yet? Think I'm gonna spend the next few days working on developing one. I've read that they're pretty fragile, but I'm hoping with a high enough SpAttack and Speed, I'll be able to minimize that problem.
Honestly, pretty excited to try boomburst out -- 140 power, 100% accurate, Yes, Please!
Working on a Noivern Right now. So far the best one I have has perfect IVs in SpA, SpDef and Speed. no idea what it has in the other stats but it is "Relatively Superior" Might just go with that one, but going to try for a perfect IV or at least an "Outstanding"
Would perfect Defense IVs do anything to help make it less fragile?
That one is Currently:
Noibat - #714 (Timid)
Male (♂)
HP: 0 - 4
Att: 15 - 24
Def: 20 - 24
SpA: 31
SpD: 31
Speed: 31
EDIT: OMFG... just checked the IVs of the Noibat I caught in Miliaria's Safari (which i started with to breed)... 4 perfect IVs... HP, Atk, SpDef, and speed..... i feel like i just wasted a ton of time... lol
I really feel overwhelmed with this game all of you guys are talking jibberish about the training and breeding. I guess I need to break down and buy a start guide to help, I havent played this shit since there was 151 pokemon.
The good thing is that it isn't really all that complicated, and they made a TON of really good quality of life type changes this generation.
For example, you can breed for 5 IVs pretty fucking easy in a few hours. In old games, that would have taken you... shit, I don't even know, because I never bothered with that shit. But it would take a really long time.
Some really high level examples:
Every pokemon has 6 stats, and each one has an IV, basically its initial potential. This is a number 0-31. This number basically corresponds to 1 status at level 100. So if a pokemon has 100HP at level 100, if it has 0 IV in HP, it has 100hp, if it has 31, it has 131 hp.
When you breed two pokemon, in the past, I believe 2 random IVs from the parents would pass down to the baby. So if you had 2 parents with 5 IVs, there's a decent chance the baby would have 2 perfect IVs... and the rest would roll randomly. Now, there's an item that you can use that passes on 5 IVs. This means if you have 2 parents with 5 IVs, the chance to pass 5 perfect ones... is pretty damn high.
Another example, every pokemon has a nature, which gives +10% and -10% in two different stats, or its neutral and does nothing. So a lot of people aim for +ATK - Special ATK, or + Speed - Attack, depending on if the pokemon is a physical or special attacker. In past games, you can give an item to one of the parents so that there's a 50% chance the same nature will pass down. (Otherwise, there's 25 natures, so 1/25 chance you get the one you want if you don't roll that 50%, so if you happen to get a really high IV pokemon but the nature didn't roll.. fuck!) In this game, that same item now passes on the nature 100% of the time.
etc.
Basically, it's a lot easier to make a perfect/near perfect pokemon, and the result is that the metagame is a lot more accessible for casual players. Cause who the fuck would want to spend 100+ hours breeding pokemon to make a perfect team, and then you decide you want to change stuff and you have to spend another 100+ hours?
