Dont use two mon of the same region to breed. For increased shiny chance, you need two separate regions.

I also have a NA Charmander. I made the proper changes at the Day Care.

My first team playing 3v3 randoms (ranked and unranked) was (3 of) Cloyster/Venusaur/Blaziken/Aegislash/Gyarados. I've had multiple games where the other two died and (Mega)Venusaur literally won the entire match by itself. It's pretty hilarious to be under 25% HP, take an Ice Beam from a Greninja, still not die, then 1HKO it back with Giga Drain while simultaneously healing back to like 75%. Venusaur is S tier.
