The Japanese text in the scan makes no sense. It's a fake.

I.. uh... wut.
Only way I could see him evolving would be a forced evolution anyways. Reminds me of that Mewthree thing.

Might just be a new experimentation and not a new form...The mysteries of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y continue to grow with the unveiling of a Pokémon that is strangely familiar! It looks a lot like the powerful Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, but not quite the same…
This new Pokémon shares many traits with Mewtwo, including a light-purple body and piercing, powerful eyes.
i'd be ok with MewTrice but not Mewtwo's evolved form
Yeah that is definitely Mewthree. I'm with Odin, I hope it's a new genetic splice, not an evolution.
New scans here confirming that it's not Mewthree, but in fact a new Mewtwo "Awakened" form
I want to be excited for this game but then I realize it'll be the same shit as red/blue with different looking pokemon and some new abilities and some new types. The game won't be challenging, there won't be anything to do after you beat the elite four(same shit every pokemon..) and you basically never need to use strategy, skill, or all your pokemon because 99% of trainers/battles you fight they use the same type, or very rarely actual good combinations of pokemon that make you think and try, or throw 6 magicarps in your face and spam splash.
So much wasted potential, the game could be really fun/hard/challenging and epic but they design it for 6 year olds so it's overly simple with no actual challenges making it 0 fun for me.
Some people still enjoy the typical run through apokemon game. I enjoyed white/black because the story was actually interesting. That and the sprites are finally off the typical 2Dish plane that it's always been on and that's what we as fans have been clamoring for..for ages.
Battle Subway was some real bullshit after you hit the 5-6th set of trainers. That fucking Quick Claw-holding Walrein with the two OHKO moves (Sheer Cold and Rest-Sleep Talk was by far the most obnoxious fucker; Substitute put a stop to that shit, but still, christ on a bike.
Yeah, the inclusion of Battle Tower/Subway are clearly geared towards older gamers who wanted a challenge (if you don't rely on truant/buff spam..). And I think they did a good job in B/W to make it so you could reach the end, but really fighting the Elite Four was a challenge -- unless you leveled your team a lot over them, but still..
Its more of a nostalgia thing for me. Playing Red/Blue with my friends when I was younger is one of my fondest memories. My dad would even bring home pokemon cards for me, lol. He's the man, and no matter how many times I play (Yes, I can admit it, its a lot of the same game), I love it. Though it does help that I have quite a few people around me where I live now that are all into the same thing. So trades, battling each other with silly ass teams, getting badass egg moves, shit's just fun. Don't need mega AAA title to have a great time.
I'm stoked for this iteration, the gameplay looks fantastic. Who knows, maybe they will change a few things to make it a bit more challenging more often. At least you'll have a solid community here to play it alongside, that's another big plus for me.
I thought B/W and B2/W2 did a good job of taking the usual pokemon game and making it better. Not only is the story actually pretty good (and B/W actually had a cutscene during the game, which blew my mind {When N's Castle came outta the ground}). And then on top of that, when you beat the E4 in B/W, you still had not only a couple of towns to go to, but the levels of the trainers jumped up a ton. And B2/W2 added a ton of extra minigames and battles and etc, etc to do outside of the main story as well. Lots of content by pokemon standards.
I'm only about 7 badges into B2/W2, but even then, the story is better then the usual "Team Rocket is trying to steal pokemon" storyline. I'm not saying the story is amazing, but it's certainly better then the other games in the series (whose stories I can't even remember at all.)
Plus, these games are great for killing time when on a road trip or waiting for your laundry or for moments like that for me anyway. I only play the games when I have time to kill. I don't usually take time out to sit down and play the game.
