Oh wow.... Just realized the first Vivillion is a Pokeball..

God, the japanese sure do love their stall.
I've played way too many unranked matches against people using toxic and then finding every way they can to stall out. I've started to just disconnect every time I run into it since I'm just trying to play for fun and that shit aint fun.
I agree with you, cheating/hacking ruins the entire point of it for me and a lot of the fun. I hope they add a game mode for online battles that just lets you pick your pokemons stats/natures/abilities so people who want to skip the breeding/leveling/training part can just do that.
Oh, and IV's need completely removed or automatically capped in online/player vs player battles. IV's are a dumb mechanic.
I really don't enjoy the breeding aspect and it seems the only way to stand a chance in battling. That's one of the main reasons I'm really bored with the game after beating Elite Four. I wish they had something like the gym leader tournament from B/W2, I enjoyed that.
For me it's not just the prospect of battling with IV capped pokemon but the collection aspect of knowing that I have the best possible pokemon I could own. I like that feeling...or I will once I finally make my team (finally bred a timid female eevee, fuck yeah)
Why bother with natures or EVs? IVs are just another aspect that players who want to go that extra mile for the sake of competition, can invest the time. I think part of it comes from the fact that IV breeding is so much easier now than it used to be, and as a result, investing the time to get a Pokemon with good IVs doesn't seem like such an investment.
Also, Super Training has eliminated old fashioned EV training, so more people are able to feel that they have competitive Pokemon, which works well with the easy online connectivity.
Edit: almost forgot what I came here to post..
Spoiler: show
well ya, I don't use a Pokemon till I've maxed all it's Super Training.
Also, who had a good Ditto and Eevee friend Safari? I'm close to beating the game(Only 120 hours in!) and want to start farming that shit.
Well that's kinda my point. How many people have bothered spending all the time to EV train in the past? Now it's a simple minigame that takes an hour, but in the past, it was super tedious and boring.
As far as the Safaris.. I think there's someone here with an Eevee, but I don't believe anyone has a Ditto. Check here: http://www.reddit.com/r/friendsafari/ I got lucky and got someone through there.
What, no Steel/Poison types? Gengar gives no shits about Toxic use, nor does Aegislash. Or Crobat. Nothing says "Fuck you" to stallers like Infiltrator Crobat. Substitute? No. Light Screen/Reflect? No shits given there, either. Thanks for cutting your own HP with Sub while I just punch you in the face repeatedly with my giant angry bat. Alternatively, my grinning ghostboy is going Mega, Tagging you in place and showing you how Perish Song bones your ass (breed it on with Misdreavus) when you can't go anywhere and Mega-G is going to just duck out on the last turn while you keel over.
I love stallers who try that stuff. It was old in Gen IV, and that's why "clerics" and/or having poison-proof team-mates is handy and fun for stallbreakers.
Heh. Swarm training > Super Training unless you need an item (say, Dusk Stone and you can't get one easily otherwise).
Spoiler: show
someone has a female evee with IV in sp.def and KP or so and doesnt need it to hand out for free? a ditto works too ._.
Ooh. Pokerus + Macho Brace = QUAD DAMAGE EV TRAINING. Long as you've got one boxed to keep it's Pokerus fresh, you can spread that delicious disease from one Pokemon to another. Makes EV training a snap when it's 50 EV per swarm, and you just sit there spamming Sweet Scent in the right place whilst nuking the lot with AoE moves like Earthquake.
Ok, but Swarms were also introduced this generation, so even that, in my opinion, doesn't change my argument that some of the monotonous tasks have been simplified, and people are complaining because the tasks that are still monotonous are too boring for them.
So if I want to breed Eevees with Wish learned, do both parents have to have the move? So I need 2 Eevees with Wish and good stats? D: Bllarrghhhh. Be much easier if it was just one parent...please tell me it's just one...
Also I just bred about five thousand Timid Eevees (all male unfortunately) most with at least 3 IVs if anyone wants one.
Both parents pass down egg moves 100% of the time now.
Sweet, now to get my hands on a wish eevee :D
