Only way to get Hidden Abilities right now (before bank) is in safari right? Anyone have a Nidoran-M Safari?
Apparenly in horde encounters too. Damn, gonna be fun building this Nidoking.
Yeah, don't think of it as;
Poison Point
Rivalry
Sheer Force or Hustle
Think of it as ;
Ability 1
Ability 2
Ability 3
So instead of passing on Sheer Force, it's passing on Ability 3.
I think Hordes have a chance to have hidden ability. not sure though.
missing hydro pump twice in a row and then getting swept is fun
I don't remember if this was just nonsense even in the older games, but does timing pressing the A button help with crits and also with helping catch pokemon?
lol of course, the very reason I decided to type this question was because I've been throwing ultra balls at Mewtwo. but before I even finished, I managed to catch him
its poop. no credible evidence shows it helps. Placebo effect ho-
Edit: This was before the guy above me posted and now it looks like i'm callin you a dumbass. I'm not. whatever floats yer boat lol, not to discourage you from trying/whatever.
I like to time presses of the A-button with the pokeball when it bounces after hitting the ground and then hold it through the capture. Not to say it helps or it doesnt, but it's been a habit/superstition of mine since Gen 1.
I'm going to attempt something that will probably fail, but it shall be done anyways!
Modest Tangled Feet Chatot with Nasty Plot, Boomburst, Encore, then something else. Best case scenario being opponent opens with a non attack move, encore it, nasty plot, then hopefully do a lot of damage. Though considering how many ghosts people run, it's a dead end. But still I'm going to try it because with how much breeding I'm going to have to do to get a Chatot with all three of those things, it'll keep me busy and that's what I find fun in this game.
ugh, I played such annoying people in rating battles tonight
trick scarf lead, togetic with choice scarf spamming air slash, venusaur lead spamming sleep powder, bulky slowbro with yawn, etc etc
and of course fucking aegislashes on every team
I can't believe so many people still do that lol
in my area the "trick" was holding B+Up on d-pad as the ball was thrown and moving on the dpad after each shake
I always pressed down + b right as the ball closes. Doesn't do anything, but like others it's a habit from gen 1. Also, I think there's something weird with the catch rate on Mewtwo in this gen. Hear a lot of reports of it being really easy and personally it only took like 3 ultra balls with most of it's HP left and maybe paralyze. Similar thing with Xerneas/Yveltal. The roaming legendary bird and Zygarde on the other hand felt like normal legendary catch rates.
I must admit also to generally pressing and holding A while the pokemon is being captured (after you throw the ball), that's how I learned it anyway... doesnt do shit though lol. My capture rate is just about the worst possible. Awful luck.
Yeah, it was Down on the D-pad + A when the ball closes for us. Figure I'll keep doing that forever.

Xerneas and Yveltal are easy to capture since they're necessary for the story. Pretty sure that was the case last gen too. Mewtwo took me forever.. I think one time it used up all its moves and wiped itself out >.>;
Does Cute Charm work for eggs too or only wild pokemon? Need to hatch a female togepi D:
just spent 15min auto-running around the Eiffel Tower Gym with a Togepi I need to evolve that wasn't in the lead spot -_-
soooo... my Modest Synchronize Gardevoir is not Syncing... I've caught 6 Togepi and 5 Noibat and not a single one was modest.
Yes, it was in the lead.
I might have a Modest Togepi but might have Hustle can still use it to breed and get Serene Grace.
