just started doing my Gligar breeding once you get 3 vs 3 it adds up faster (think from start to now which i just getting the right spreed i'm 6 hours in for my 4 IV heracross think it took around about the 30+ mark since i was getting terrible luck)

    That is pretty terrible luck.

I do have two 4 IV Dittos with different spreads that help me accelerate my breeding, and 3 IVs of basically every spread I'd ever want, so breeding takes me maybe an hour tops to get from badNature/noIV/noEggMove to perfect.

You can Pokeradar chain hardcore in Pokemon Village, and if you get good enough at it, every single Ditto you catch after #60 is guaranteed to have 3 IVs, and you have a pretty damn good chance of getting a 4 IV too (better than 1/32). All my Dittos are from Safari and that took me ages.

Another helpful thing is having a 5 or 6 IV male in each group. I'm nearing that point, thankfully, and that just makes breeding even faster.

Let's say you're starting from scratch with only 2IV Dittos and a no IV 'mon with proper nature.

    1. Give the Ditto the Power item for a stat that you definitely want transferred that another Ditto you'll use doesn't have.
    2. Give the 'mon Everstone.

    3. Hatch 5 (your lead spot should be a Flame Body Talonflame 'cause... Yeah) and check IVs. Every single one will have that one IV you picked but it's decently likely you'll get two IV from one of the 5.

    4. Breed the offspring with Ditto with different spread. Give the Ditto Destiny knot and 'mon Everstone.

    5. Keep babies of both genders. Try to get three IVs on both at least at this point.

    6. Use another Ditto with different stats again and try to work up a 4 IV.

    7. Breed the 4 IV with the 3 IV of opposite gender from back in step 5.

    8. Keep breeding and building up the IVs on each gender, making sure to keep the IVs you actually want and aiming to ignore the one you don't want.

I'd estimate this takes probably two hours for someone to do as long as they don't get distracted etc. and as long as you have Oval Charm to speed up egg appearance.

It's gonna be fun when/if people are able to pass a Seismic Toss Kangaskhan down the line via Pokebank.

200 damage and gives no fucks about resistances (it's been tested by copying the ability over to another Poke with SToss, hits twice for full damage.). At that point, your other moves are just peachy for coverage and smoking Ghost types.

SToss/Earthquake/Sucker Punch/Crunch or something along those lines.

and as far as breeding, you don't even need dittos.
Just grab two pokemon with 2 max IVs, breed them both and every time you get a pokemon with more IVs than the parents, switch them out
So if you have a father with HP/ATK and a mother with DEF/SPATK, once you get a baby with HP/ATK/DEF/and or SPATK switch it out with one parent then find another pokemon who has SPDEF/SPEED and breed those two and then when you get offspring from those parents, you can switch them out again so you'll eventually have both parents with at least 4IV each.

And ditto safari is a waste of time anyways I've come to realize. What you want to do as stated above is use pokeradar and go to pokemon village for the possibility to catch a 4-5IV ditto

Breeding with the same exact pokemon is always faster than breeding with a ditto.

Been thinking now for the last few minutes and just kind of torn on it.

Return pretty much needs a +1 to OHKO a lot of stuff and Fake Out makes it possible to kill a lot of things without taking damage because the Return follow up takes care of it, and you either get hit once or not at all. Running Toss gets you hit once or twice but gives you the ability to take care of levitate steels.

=/ I would probably stay with Fake/Return honestly.

And most of this doesn't even matter now because apparently cloning/duping is now a real thing, lol.

There's a thread on Gfaqs about it.

Ah ok. Figured I'd check since they're just taking up space in my boxes.

what's a good move set for a sheer force Conkeldurr?
I currently have (which is just the moves it has as I've been leveling it up) Drain Punch, Force Palm, Rock Slide, Bulk Up.
I decided on Sheer Force instead of Iron Fist for some reason only to realize that the really good attacks he learns to take advantage of Sheer Force have really low accuracy.
I could still just use it to make a Iron Fist Conkeldurr, but I want to try it out at least.
Not a clue what to put on it though.

Switch Force Palm for Mach Punch.

I like that idea, especially the band, but arent you getting destroyed after throwing out Wisp? Unless you predict a switch I guess.

It really isn't that bad. It sucked in previous generations so I never bothered with it but it's almost fun now. If you need any clarification past Geno's post then say so.

    Wow. Sorry, lol.

It's frustrating enough when the mons don't like each other and it takes forever for an egg.

Get your Oval Charm. It's worth the time investment. Bumping 20% egg rate to 40% and 50% to like 75-80ish% was so worth it.
