so as i am the beloved king of Pokemon i have some *secrets* to share, last weekend at a con there was a pokemon panel an outside sponsored source for nintendo let "slip" there will be 2 more pokemon based on food, a potato chip pokemon and a sushi roll looking one another secret he let out was we will be getting a 2nd eeveelution this gen my guess are dragon or poison

Update: Assuming this is the real deal, the new Mewtwo form is a part of the “Mega” category. Blaziken, Absol, Lucario, Ampharos, and Mawile have these forms as well.

Gogoat’s pre-evolution is said to be Meekuru. CoroCoro, supposedly, also reveals the electric/fairy-type Dedenne and the normal rabbit “Horubii”.

Apparent scans from the latest issue of CoroCoro have started to leak, showing “Mega” forms of existing Pokemon as well as a few more brand new creatures. Leaks have just started to take place, so stay tuned for details…

Personally, I li ke the idea of it. I'm happy they're trying something new with the franchise when its essentially been the same exact game for 5 generations. Will it be a permanent evolution? A held item thing? Will it be linked to a certain ability?

I mean, You have 6 pokemon being shown. 2 of which are Third Evolutions, one of them a Starter, a Legendary, a Pokemon with no current evo's, and then Lucario/ThatthingIdon'tcareabout. Will it effect all Pokemon or just a few?

Just interested to see how this new Mechanic Plays out or if its just a "Final Step" Evolution or something.

It has been confirmed that Mega Evolution lasts only for a battle and requires a specific Mega Stone item based on the Pokémon's species, such as the Blazikenite for Blaziken's Mega Evolution or the Lucarionite for Lucario's Mega Evolution. The Blazikenite will not be available during normal gameplay, meaning you'll need to receive it from the Torchic distribution that has been confirmed for online distribution on October 12th.

It sounds like a pretty cool system and I like that it's something temporary that you have to use strategically in battles.

So... if I'm understanding the video right, the evolutions happen at the start of each battle while holding a Mega Stone. I'm guessing this means after the fight they go back to their original form? Cause if so... yea, Digimon. Also them giving Torchic away is bound to make people happy. Guessing it'll be through Wifi.
