Anyone have a Pinsirite they wanna trade for a Y exclusive mega stone?
So is Mewtwo basically the best option to use the Masterball on?
Real men don't ever use their masterballs.
Hey guys, just doing my first run through and got charmander from sycamore.
I soft reset until I got an Adamant one, but it's attack is only 18... should I keep it or continue soft resetting till I get a better Adamant? It only takes like 20 seconds per.
yeah, I wouldn't bother with doing any of that except for maybe on the legendaries.
thanks for the super quick replies, had the ds suspended while driving home lol
Nanashi has a sableye as her 3rd pokemon
Off the top of yall's head, what moves are stuck in pokebank right now that are really good metagame moves that might change certain pokemon entirely?
Scared, a bit, to really invest into some egg move breeding only to have some set-up's completely invalidated come pokebank.
Looking to run:
Mega-Mawile
Scizor
Scolipede
Skarmory
Blissey
Greninja
With Gengar, Vaporeon, Nidoking, Snorlax, and Goodra as match-up switch ins. Don't know if that is even a good main team anymore. Any advice?
Your team is super weak to fire swap skarmary for a gliscor just to help with charizard/talon sweeps
Was about to say that. Fire would absolutely rape your physical wall + two physical attackers.
Also..that's a lot of physical hitters there and not so much special coverage. May want to look into that as well.
On that subject;
I'm assuming the answer to my question is no, but the tutor moves arent like egg moves right? Like if I wanted a Dragonite with Extreme Speed, it would have to be a fully trained dragonite from B&W and I couldn't take any dragonite from B&W and breed it with another from X&Y?
Ok, so lets rework this. I have never used Gliscor before, whats the deal there? And yeah Talonflame always seemed to be a problem on paper. I guess it's pretty prevalent this gen.
I dont know who I'm gonna have for defog later on, still working that out. Kinda approaching it as a group of 10-12 pokemon that I switch out but I guess a better approach would be to build 2 cores of 3 and build around that.
I want to use: Mawile, Scizor, Nidoking.
I've looked at or researched sets for: Blissey, Gengar, Vaporeon, Scolipede, Skarmory, Starmie, Azumarill, Greninja, Trevanant, Gogoat, Aggron, Goodra, and Snorlax.
I would like to work in Blissey and probably Vaporeon/Greninja. Out of everything listed what would be a great core set-up or two and the a group I could build around, or even some suggestions not listed if they round out coverage.
I guess this says a lot about my minimal experience with HG/SS metagame and skipping B/W.
A friend of mine claims you can breed all Tutor moves but i haven't actually tried myself so take it with a pinch on salt
Gliscor is a physical wall with posion heal (double heal leftovers so give him a toxic orb to make sure he's poisoned) with toxic roost protect and earthquake, make him a little slow so he can get a roost off without taking an earthquake from a likely Excadrill or Tyranatar
Vaporeon is a pretty good wall to with acid armor and wish, it can stall out toxic damage for a long time
Another fun fact about Gliscor: I used to run an adamant choice banded full attack (eq, fire fang, aerial ace, stone edge) Gliscor and it wrecked everyones shit because they thought it would be tanky and weak but instead it just killed everyone.
I ran one like that (Ice Fang instead of Fire Fang) back in 4th gen on lolPBR, but I was Jolly w/Yache Berry because I was silly.
Also ran an "offensive" Togekiss (Modest, paraflinch+Flamethrower+Aura Sphere). Combination of not "getting" real teambuilding + Nintendo's 3v3 format.
Souj, Serra, or Roundelk? You all around?
Was wanting to trade with you all for these:
Souj - Shellders, Timburrs
Serra - Litwik, Ralts
Roundelk - Squirtle aura sphere
Will get you just about anything on my list that you want. Just let me know.
