basically if you didn't know Japan has Dick smacked the Eshop server and everyone who brought download bundles for christmas have got a ds without a game :/ (Steam fixed its problem after 6 hours Nintendo is 27 hours in on not fixing it)

What most amusing about this is what has to be the utter horror Nintendo must be realizing right now.

If they can't even handle the JP demand on their network for Pokebank, imagine what level of stress would arrive when they opened it up to, say, the EU/US players. As it is, the people who used it for the brief time it was up must be pissed beyond belief because anything they uploaded to Nintendo is locked out of access, right?

Japan is about half the worlds fan base for Pokemon but yeah if you can't take half the "work load" your not going to last long, the only thing that annoys me is how long til i can breed a few of the old gen pokemon i want to mess with like Bug bite Scythe

Japan got it for the birthdays so you'll need to hope for a jp to do mass breeding and flog them on gts or wt, also got a piplup and turtwig so i'll be doing a few rounds of each (going to see if i can breed stealth rocks onto turtwig)

People were waiting for Piplups because Empoleon + Defog & Stealth Rock was being considered a G6 potential winner. You're in a good place with those little birdies if you can breed more.
