Picked up a shiny Rayquaza in wonder trade today. and hatched a shiny audino!
Hatching a fuckton of Snivy's looking for other BW starters if possible.
http://www.pokemonxy.com/en-us/pokemon/diancie/The Pokémon Company International revealed a newly discovered Pokémon from the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y video games, Rock- and Fairy-type Pokémon, Diancie! Diancie is an extremely rare Mythical Pokémon, a special Pokémon that cannot be found during normal gameplay. Known to boast the greatest beauty in all the world, Diancie’s body glitters pink, captivating the hearts of many. During battle, Diancie can produce a great volume of diamonds instantaneously by compressing air between its hands. It uses these diamonds to attack enemies and protect itself.
Details on how Pokémon X and Pokémon Y players can get Diancie will be shared at a later date.
Finally finished my national dex, as far as the game is concerned. Shaymin and Manaphy will probably elude me forever unless they have a event for them eventually. If anyone is missing something for thier dex I can breed it up for you, assuming it's something that can be bred. I probably won't be playing much pokemon in the near future though so lemme know soonish. Animal crossing eats up a lot of my 3DS time.
Side note, it was a pain in the butt to transfer 15 boxes of pokemon from W2 one at a time. Would have been easier if I had the DL verison of X instead of the cartridge so I didn't have to swap it each time.
Tiny bump. Now that I'm almost done with Bravely Default I can get back to breeding.
Prolly going to cave and pick up Black/White or Black/White 2 sometime this week to be able to transfer stuff to X/Y. Story is secondary, but which of the versions is a better purchase purely to play through the game and to have access to Unova's stuff?
Well, honestly, the choice only boils down to "Do I care about getting stuff 100% legitimately?"
And if you do, and you care about Smogon tiers/rule sets, then you're better off going with Black2 for Kyurem-B. W is in Ubers, but B's terrible Ice secondary typing and Speed puts it in OU... And it's still pretty beastly in OU because it dishes out damage and takes non-SE hits like a fucking tank.
Have fun soft-resetting for the stats, though. Nothing else really matters as far as the versions go.
I picked up B2 with the intent to be legit, but ended up using IR-GTS to send pokes from my computer to my game. =/ then Banked all of them. Only two didn't go through--a screwed up nickname 'mon, and a Shiny Jirachi that they don't want to acknowledge the possibility of getting it from the Poke Coliseum disc.
Either way though, I would have to have a physical copy of B/W/BW2 in order to send stuff to from any emulated game to get it into the pokebank to transfer to X/Y, correct? Or am I reading it wrong?
To an extent, im not 100% hardcore Smogon tiers, but I tend to breed/build what I want and then tailor maybe an IV or a move that fits it into competitive battling better than without it. I don't mind using an end around to make things quicker or more efficient, but if it comes to setting something up that can only be achieved by hacking then I generally won't do it.
Mostly wanting the title to shore up specific moves or items for breeding that may be missing in X/Y which B/W/BW2 would give me access to.
Yeah, doesn't work off R4 carts etc. Gotta have a real copy. And yes, your logic is completely correct.
I'd recommend sending to your cart via emulated GTS because it can fix PID problems and other things when receiving. Don't use Pokesav on a Save on an R4 and send to your real BW2 and expect it to go through 100% of the time.
Very easy to make a pkmn or take it from Pokecheck, run a legit check on it by uploading to Pokecheck, and then send to your cart via IR-GTS (don't send via Pokecheck because it puts a retarded ribbon on it).
Also, if you make stuff, PokeTransfer checks a lot of fields--trash bytes on nicknames, origin Game, can it be shiny?, pokeball type, etc. I worked a few people's stuff and prior to me getting involved fixing those kinds of things, they had like a 50% success rate. Whereas I sent ~270pokes through out of however many it was +2.
How do you get the free game? I already had my 3ds and AC registered on club nintendo. I don't see a download option anywhere.
Yep, confirmation here from Nintendo's FAQ page:
Information:
Limited Time Offer - March 1, 2014 to March 31, 2014. Products registered prior to this date do not qualify for this promotion.
Wow thats really retarded. I have no desire to register anything again.
Added my friend code up on the spreadsheet, got pokemon X for christmas and haven't had time to play it till a week or two ago, when my co-workers started playing/battling with pokemon X and Y then lol. I asked one of them what my friend safari was a week ago and he told me it was Ice and showed me that the 3rd pokemon was a lapras, but I don't exactly remember what the other two were, one of them i think is a cloyster, hence the (?) next to it.
I don't think I've registered my 3ds to club nintendo yet, but I don't own any of the games it wants you to register either. Of course, I only really want another pokemon X or Y because pokemon games still don't allow you to have more than 1 single god damned save file.
So...question about Pokemon etiquette here I guess. I've only been playing a couple days, don't have much of a squad. I think I'm only around level 15-16. I've been doing Wonder Trades and a lot of people, and I mean a lot of people, have been giving me level 50ish Pokemon. I feel kinda bad they are giving me these in exchange for like, my level 4 Weedle. Is this common?
I frequently trade off anywhere between 50-150 pokemon I've bred, all level 1. Wonder Trade is exactly as it describes, you won't know what you're getting, and by using it, you dill with it. If the person at all were worried about what they were getting in return, they wouldn't/shouldn't be using WT.
But because of that, a lot of the times it's just junk no one wanted. And the GTS seems to be "Give me legendaries for this level 20 charmander pls." Having the worst time completing my dex lol.
If I want to start over in X to do a Nuzlocke run, but still keep all my pokemon and things, there's really no option to do that aside from Pokemon Bank is there? And that would only keep the pokes and not the items/time/unlocked stuff... There's no way to export a save file to a SD card or anything huh? Just making sure... Probably going to have to give up on the Nuzlocke idea.
Some of the download versions of games allow you to save a backup version to the SD card, I don't know if pokemon is one of them since I have the cartridge version. If you have the DL version of the game and it doesn't allow back up you can just save your whole SD card on a computer to back it up that way. Downside is losing anything else on the SD card that you do during your Nuzlocke play through if you decide to switch back to the old SD card files. It might be possible to just save the game file/save data on a computer but I'm not sure where to find said files in the SD card. If you have the cartridge version you're SoL besides just saving all Pokemon to the bank and starting over like you said. Or buying another game... Since the save files are stored on the cartridge itself.
