I'm still a tad noobish in the competitive pokemon field. I'm just trying to up my game cause my lil bro keeps kicking my butt

The poke's I traded for were supposed to have 5 perfect IVs, but had 0, I guess as long as they have Atk/Spd maxed those are the two I care about.

For the Froakie I was thinking for moves: HP Fire, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump with a timid nature. His shiny is amazing, but I wasn't trading for a shiny so I won't ask for it.

For the Chimchar I was thinking for moves: Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Close Combat, Mach Punch with a Jolly nature.

The Latias I traded had HP/Def/SAtk/SDef/Spd perfect and knew Draco Meteor, Roost, Thunder and Surf with a Timid nature. (It didn't take me long to get this guy last gen. I got really really lucky.)

I don't have the Chimchar like that and I think it can't be made in GenVI but I'll double check. If not it'll be GenV. The Froakie'll be shiny. Latias will probably be a legit one except for the fact it'll be a clone.

I'm not super picky about the chimchar as far as moves go. That was just one build I saw online that people said works good. I get how a lot of this stuff works, but putting it all together into a good team is dizzying lol

Simplest summary I can give:

IVs: adds to base stats, determined when the Poke is created and never modified after
Nature: -10% one stat, +10% to another

Hidden Powers: determined by IVs, there's an annoying formula but it's infinitely easier to just an HP IV calculator. Like, I think off the top of my head that for HP Fire it's 31/31/30/30/31/31 but I don't remember. It only matters if the IV is even or odd at any rate, so making a Poke that doesn't have any Physical moves have a 0 in ATK helps. This is probably the "complicated"/definitely most annoying part when it comes to breeding, especially for breeding perfect IV with correct Hidden Power shinies. Wasn't for about a month or so when the game's communications weren't encrypted and you could get any egg's details checked, including the Shiny ID (if it matches trainer's shiny ID, it hatches Shiny), but alas that luxury is lost to the ages.

Everstone: keeps Nature of the Poke holding it during breeding on the baby
Destiny Knot: forces 5IVs from the parents to pass to child (chosen at random from father/mother; next set of IVs chosen is determined after the last egg was created so you can abuse soft reset with this)

Egg Moves: certain Pokes can get moves they normally wouldn't learn through breeding with a different Poke that's in the same egg family.

Shiny: Using two pokes from two different regions of the game (like JP+US, or US+Euro etc) increases chance of your Shiny ID happening by 3 or 4x I don't remember. (This is referred to as the Masuda Method)

Then there's egg create % which is based off if the Poke's the same species or not and if the pokes were generated by separate trainers or not.

Some item you get for completing Kalos dex gives you increased Egg create chance.

There's the Shiny Charm that increases chance of your shiny ID by 2x also or something close to that.

... And that's pretty much it. Can't think of anything else except Flame Body Talonflame and countless hours biking back and forth past the daycare and the castle. I don't miss that one bit.

I can breed a jolly iron fist chimchar with Fire Punch and Thunder Punch. I already have one with a similar moveset. You can get Mach Punch and Close Combat when it's an Infernape via the move reminder if I'm not mistaken. My friend code is 4957-4309-7672. I'll have it finished sometime Monday and will post in here. I don't need anything in return.

I could provide a protean froakie too, but I've never done breeding for a specific hidden power and I'm not a shiny collector so Genosync seems better to handle that one.
