Pokemon X & Y (3DS)

My friend was saying that all the pokemon will be in this game. Is he wrong like I suspect he is? I didn't see anything when searching.

Catchable? No. Tradeable-to/event Pokemon/etc filling in the gaps? Yes. I've got like 12 boxes worth I'll likely transfer over from my copy of Black 2, and I'm sure plenty of those aren't catchable in X or Y.

Edit: Is it true that Venasaur and Blastoise are also both getting an X and Y mega version? Or was that rumour already stamped out and I didn't notice?

Yea, all 3 Kanto starters have Mega versions. Charizard gets 2 different Megas, though. One exclusive to X and another to Y. Mega Venusaur seems pretty OP, gets Thick Fat ability which makes Fire and Ice moves do 50% dmg. Think that just leaves him weak to Psychic and Flying? It does have the most bleh looking Mega evo, though.

Ah. Yea, it's only Charizard. People who got the game early have found the items to make the starters evolve. They're saying theres Charizardite X and Charizardite Y, but the other 2 just have Venusaurite and Blastoisite, no X or Y at the end. As for the Kalos starter... how could I NOT pick a ninja frog?
