How do you tell if an attack is a regular Attack or Special Attack?

Click on the attack in the status menu, and it'll either display a red, blue or gray icon. Red's physical, blue's special and gray is status altering.

On the title screen there should be a connect to wifi option or something, then you unlock the torchic mystery gift which you can collect at a Pokemon center.

Or something. I haven't done it yet.

Do you still gain EVs the normal way or must you do the mini-games? I didn't know of the mini-games... hopefully I haven't ruined my EVs.

EDIT: You still get them normally. Now I need to know when you unlock the ability to clear them all. I'm still unsure wether or not some of the new mons have SPA or ATK based moves. Buh.

There's an item you can get in-game that resets all of a pokemon's EVs, so don't worry about it.
