Fighting random people is surprisingly fun. Got challenged by some JP guy I traded with that had a Snorlax, a Tyrunt w/ Stealth Rock, a Honedge, an Ivysaur w/ Sleep Powder and some other misc pokemon. Only decent pokemon I had were Combusken and Braixen and I still nearly won, haha.

Combusken is crazy good, took out like 4 pokemon by itself, lol.

So I just started playing last night. Is Pikachu the only Pokemon that makes proper monster noises? Please tell me no. I hope charmander and all of them do also. It's such a great little thing I wasn't expecting!

So far that's the only one I have run into, sadly. 6 badges and 18ish hours of gameplay.

I was given a leaf stone by someone, who I already forgot, but it was somewhere before the 2nd gym. And the balloon training, after you max out a pokemon's stats with them, unlocks new challenges that can drop stones if you beat them.
I got a fire stone, thunder stone, leaf stone, and shiny stone from them so far.
And I think someone in this thread said a city somewhere just sells them. No idea where though.

How are yall getting levels so fast? I'm grinding in the first forest and only have my team up to lvl 10.

Looks like you can only get Ditto is after beating the Pokemon League.. Anyone beat them yet? >.>;

Go do first gym it's easy at lv 10, you get the EXP share after which makes it easier to lv
