Thanks for the offer. My mistake though, I was actually looking for an Icy snow one lol XD Somehow I conflated the two in my head... not so hard to do considering they both bring snow to mind... >_>
This is the first pokemon game I've played in like ages and I'm just swimming in all this new shit, it's so confusing @_@
But my FC is 0044 - 2869 - 2091 if anyone wants to add me anyway
:D Oh no problem. I must have missed it. It seemed like you were really knowledgeable. I'm actually not too good with a lot of things regarding the pokemon games so I'm by no means an expert. I do know a lot about breeding though. v______v I'm a collector/breeder/shiny hunter(never had a shiny but finding a shiny is pretty rough).
Especially with this game given how the 3D looks and the Pokemon amie... I'm obsessed.
Yeah I like your Safari zone. Not everyone's safari is going to be a gem but it's SOMEONE's gem.
>_< 3 more hours until I leave to go home... So much pokeymans to be done.
I forgot how awful shining grinding can be. 5 boxes and no shiny Proakie. I am going to shed a tear when it pops out a shiny Torrent froakie. Worth it though!
I read forums a lot at work...
Don't know much about breeding, but I've been reading a lot of the meta-game stuff on Smogon.
EDIT: You're not able to keep more than the nature and one IV constant through all this breeding for shinies though, correct? Even if you have a Froakie with 31 SpAtk IV and Everstone and a Ditto with Power Anklet there is only a chance to get that max SpAtk?
Fucking finally a Adamant Tyrunt now to EV train this shit, I know Attack is a given but I don't know if I should do HP or DEF?
Thanks for that, i know how to build him and my attacks.
no idea what kind of safari pokémons I have (if anyone can see that):
Friendcode: 2191-7628-9853 will add people here too!
btw for people breeding eevee's (for natures) try to capture the parent in a luxury ball so all the eggs are luxury to)
No I think I'm just retarded for associating polar with snow/white right away. It is interesting that there is both a polar and an icy snow one though and that they look so different. Is there a chart yet of which real-life regions each color comes from?
And, this is a total noob question but what is so important about natures? It seems very important from how everyone is talking about it but I have never learned why.
Natures = Gives a + and - to stats. Some are neutral which is when the stat has been + and -'d at the same time. Take a look at your pokemon. You'll either see all the stats are normal shade or maybe one red, one blue. Blue is a stat that has been -'d and Red is a stat that has been +'d.
Characteristics = Gives only a +
Individual Values (IV) = values that the pokemon's gains will be on level. An IV of 31 is considered "Perfect". Getting 6 IVs that are perfect is a feat. Legendary pokemon are usually the easiest to get high IVs as they naturally come with some perfect IVs. In this gen, seems like it rates "anything that can't breed" to be a special case and grants them a guaranteed 3 perfect IVs. This is why Riolus, Togepis, and Legendarys are all being found with 3 Perfect IVs.
Effort Values (EV) = how a pokemon was raised. Previously this was based purely on what you killed. Some pokemon were worth 2 def, 2 sp.a, etc. This gen you also add on the Super Training, which a lot of people are thankful for as you can track your EVs better here.
That's making it basic as I can
You can read a full disclosure on these stats on lots of websites.
Edit: added links. Better description than me. Sorry I suck.
