It's too damn easy to level in this game if you trade pokemon. I'm skipping trainers like mad in a desperate attempt to not outlevel my ability to control them and then goddamned cutscenese/quests pop in before i can get a badge. This is while i started with the little shits at lv 1 after i'd done several badges.
! badge left and of COURSE all of my rivals show up to make sure i have to desperately avoid using 4/6 of my Pokemon so that they listen to me at the next gym.

This. When I got Bulbasaur from the professor I never used it even once and it's at lvl 60 and I have put him in the box a few times and I just got my 8th badge.

Can turn off Exp Share if you uh.. Level up too quick.

If your in real need for Heart scales a fast way to get them is on Route 8 use surf and fish using a OLD ROD, You will fish up Luvdisc 100% who sometimes holds a Heart Scale. I would recommmed a Pokemon with Compound eyes with Thief.

The Kanto starter the professor gives you is "your pokemon" it doesn't get the trade bonus. Only pokemon with different Trainer IDs get a bonus. If you're getting a boosted exp msg it's likely from Amie.

Does anyone know if pokeradar works in caves? I'd like to try for a shiny Noibat, but if that won't work, will have to breed one..

And actually catch one..

If you're just trying to get a modest synchronizer, you can trade for a modest ralts in the cafe where you first met Diahna however you spell her name.

So is there any reason to do the bonus super-training levels other than for items? Did them all once I finished super-training my Bulbasaur, but if I have to do all that extra crap for every other team member I'll be unhappy.
