Oh, that reminds me. It's Tuesday so Rotom should be in the dustbins in the Lost Hotel. Remember to catch yours if you haven't already.
Seconding Rotom-W, I love the shit out of mah nigga in White
I could use a female Torchic.
Oh, didn't know that Pokemon changes, thanks for the heads up.
Sorry Roundelk, the Torchic popped out male....HOWEVER....I did get a Female Fennekin. Want that? Or do you want me to keep trying for a female Torchic?
So I have a safari with a Vivillion in it and it's in the thrid spot, but the spot wont fill out even though I've seen one, killed one and caught one.
And just in case anyone was curious, the Vivillion in the zone is the same one over and over, the same pattern that I got from evolving my scatterbug (modern)
Snagged a jp ditto last night in wonder trade. What was the big deal with that? Increase chance of a shiny or something?
The Wonder Trade thing is pretty cool. I'm just sending off all the Male Torchics I've been getting, and I've gotten some cool stuff back in return. A Druddigon, a JP Ralts, and a JP Cubone.
Speaking of JP pokes, does it have to only be the Ditto that's JP or can the Ditto be German (I got a German Ditto) and a JP Ralts (example) in order to get some Shiny?
Any foreign region. JP just works because its easy to see the name.
Also, I know everybody loves ditto because its easier but is there any reason I couldnt just farm same egg group Pokemon on friend safari solely for the IVs and breed them into the Pokemon I want to use? Seems way easier than taking time to find a good ditto with high IVs.
The interest in JP dittos is because breeding two pokemon from different regions has an increased rate of getting a shiny. It doesn't matter which, as long as they are from different regions.
For future reference, if you leave your pokemon on the super training screen (even if that screen isnt up and you have amie up or something) does it still punch a bag? I often go back to that screen and see one of my pokemon exhausted at the bag even though I don't really want them to hit it at all, but it seems like a pokemon in your party is always gonna at least be present at the bag. I just want to make sure they are not hitting bags and getting random stats while I'm not watching. >_> Couldn't find the answer anywhere else.
No reason why you can't do that.
Obviously finding a ditto with 4+ IVs in the wild is not only time consuming (trust me) when breeding two pokemon with high IVs and repeating that process is a faster method.
Also vrumpt is right. You basically want a pokemon from another language for the shiny chance increase. This doesn't mean the cartridge. This means the language. So if a player is playing a JP cart with English as the display language, it doesn't work.
You can tell you have a foreign pokemon if next to the level on the pokemon screen you see an abbrevation like [SPA] [JPN], etc etc...
I knew about them finding random bags but I thought when you leave it on the screen they will punch whatever bag is up by themselves which incites stat changes...right? I just dont understand why my Lucario for instance is exhausted when I haven't had it punching a bag. This punching bag thing seems very vague to me for some reason.
Well for example, I never used the punching bag ever on Twitter(fire bird's name) so when I went to that screen after I beat the game (I didn't care about EVs) I noticed Twitter was already on its back. When I poked it, it hopped up with a happy face and was rarring to go.
If you're ever not sure, I suggest getting a Reset Bag. Save, use the reset bag and check the EV -'s.
They punch whatever bag is up (I think 1 punch every minute is what it said in the tutorial), but unless you put a bag up there, the best they'll do is find random bags.
