Just walk over to the ref before the play and act like you're going to do it. Maybe the kicker expects it and fucks up, bonus points for not looking like an asshole. Nobody has ever asked "Why didn't you ice the kicker?" in the post game press conference.

The thing with icing the kicker, NEVER let the kicker have a free kick. You need to call the TO while they are still getting set, not JUST before the snap, because if they miss like tonight or when Garret does it, you look like a complete fucking moron. I think it's retarded period but for the love of god, don't let them have a free try.

I think Carroll did call it fairly early, but the LS was smart and went ahead and snapped it so Bryant got a practice kick off. Watching the game, I figured that was why Carroll was pissed.

Sounds like bullshit. Also, was there seriously enough icings for there to be a 4% figure when dividing? There's only been a handful each year, it seems. Regardless, small sample size and insignificant %.

icing is some weird coaching phenomenon - someone did it once and it worked and ever since every coach has done it ever

They need to do a study of what the percentage is of 2nd chance makes when there was an icing attempt. I'd imagine icing the kicker nowadays does more harm than good since kickers expect it and will try to get that practice kick off anyways.

I don't have enough faith in Flacco to come near to repeating the miracle that transpired, known as Champ Failing. Plus, no matter how much I loathe the Pats, I think pretty boy Brady and Darth Belicheat are going to run up the score with the clusterfuck of offensive plays that will be thrown at Ray's Ravens.

I'm biased as a patriots fan but I really did want to see rayray and eddy get a ring this year and finish their careers right because I absolutely love them. But I also really want to see Brady get this last ring and stop all the talking, stop the spygate, stop the hatred I see towards him, and once and for all put him in the conversation with the other bests. Peyton is an amazing QB, I don't really know too many that hate him. Same for AR12, Brees. But not Brady, he gets all the hate. There is a lot of jealousy associated with it but still. Get the last ring and finish it. After that hand the torch over to Manning and AR12 for the next few years and retire quietly.

Unless Brady gets some freak injury, I'm pretty sure he'll be in the Super Bowl mix for the next 3-4 years. Personally, I can't stand Brees more than Brady. The Saints' organization has always been way more skeevy to me(even without the bounty whistleblow) than what the Spygate debacle made me feel towards Belicheat.

Brady probably has a better chance at getting another ring than AR in the next 4yrs. Peyton will be the bane of his existence probably. I'm sure Andrew Luck will only get better, but the AFC is such a joke; I wouldn't be surprised if Brady Bunch gets 1 more on his way out.
