I dont think they are hiding at all, lots of ads everywhere, also on television coinciding with the tv show. Its a shame pc and console versions are on different servers, If I play ill be on pc. Yup I can say alpha is pretty brutal at some times lol.

Only thing I do not like is the lack of skill usage (not the trait type system in place) and armor types, its just down to costumes atm, when it comes to customizing appearance.

I am so sorry for laziness. Tried to look up the answer but gave up after like 30 seconds. What connections will the TV show and the MMO have? Outside of story are there gonna be like...clues?...codes?...something? that's revealed during episodes?

Ohh I didn't know, Elrar just told me to get these codes to use for my Ark Hunter. I thought I would share them, but I didn't know they didn't work in beta. Thanks for the update, I'll edit my post. I'm gonna try out the game and see if I like it.

Codes aren't redeeming for me, tried over 10 of them and nothing happens when I enter them.

I do not think that they will affect each other so much, but basically game takes place in San Francisco while the show takes place in St louis, they are both connected somewhat and there are missions within the game that actually play out with the main characters of the show also. I guess they will tie in story elements here and there. I think codes etc may play part

Been in alpha for a couple months now, they have been sending out a while now. Different client than beta also.

Beta codes for PS3 preorders went out to emails a few minutes ago.

PS3 beta is available for download now after redeeming at the store. Its 6245 MB.

Beta progress will be wiped

I am still on the fence, I am excited for the show but not sure about the game, after playing for so long myself. There are just so many other games coming out and its buy to play also, plus Im not much of a shooter fan and the little rpg progression included, isnt enough I think to keep me satisfied. There are some kick ass armor skins though that I saw recently from doing co op maps etc.

Also the gravity in the game is like moon gravity its stupid..

I'm assuming it's much like borderlands, shoot, loot, shoot some more, loot some more (less loot since it's more like an mmo). We'll see if I like it tomorrow when I get to play the beta

So the clock just ticked over and the NDA is lifted. (for Beta, those of you in Alpha, apparently not)
For shits and giggles I signed up for the PS3 beta period, and have been playing for the past few days.

Unless this beta client is six months old, I have the feeling siffy is causing this to be rushed to release.
The graphics are okay, and the massive environment is pretty nice (even if a bit uniform). But the play balance feels off, and there are bugs here and there that simply should NOT be in a game that's less than two weeks from retail.

I know it's beta, but this sucks lol. Log in and watch the intro scene, fps drops 60 > 20 every 10 seconds or so. np at least I can play. Make character and servers shut down before I hit ok. Log back in and remake. Can't connect to the actual game. Try a bunch of times and now I'm in a queue

14 in line and 30 mins long.
