Ironically after I made that post, the head community manager who was in charge of releasing all patch notes and liason with the community whenever a server exploded is leaving at the end of the week.

Yeah, I saw her goodbye post the other day, but didn't really think to mention it since I wouldn't exactly call such a role pivotal to the game's health. But yeah, it's basically Daglar, the two class devs, and Elrar doing any kind of posting. I don't really count the forum mods, of the two or three I've seen.

I genuinely enjoy the game.
The patch for the PS helped with a LOT of the glitches/bugs that were still cropping up.
So far I'm having a fun time with this game, so much to do and its genuinely fun to play with bros.
It's definitely enjoyable but you hit a certain point and you kind of run out of things to do. Until there's more content I think that a lot of people are going to stop playing.

Sad, this game had a lot of potential but trion has been nothing but disappointing, it is honestly the farthest thing from a MMO and really more like a 25$ indie game on steam with minor co-op. I love the scifi 3rd person shooter genre but after the huge disappointments of Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2, and now Defiance I can never get hyped for these games again. Buyers remorse hurts too much. At the very least the show is actually excellent and doing very well, funny right?
Word about future DLC.

Borderlands 2 and Mass Effect 3 are disappointments? Terrible.
you can try this game free this weekend on steam
Tried the free weekend (1.5 days) on steam. Much cheaper/buggier than I expected. Plus, I went out as a sniper and the only weapons I found were ARs and SG... Plus, the story of the show is as bad as the story of the game (what they will tell, anyways) and gets boring fast. It didn't help that I chose stealth as my power and it has been nerfed since release to being almost useless.
It was a somewhat entertaining couple hours, but I'm done with it.
For a loot based game they drop nothing but shit loot. Since I've played I've only ever gotten 1 orange weapon and that was out of a lockbox. Which makes less patient players use the microtransactions to purchase more material to open lock boxes. Add on top of that the prices are fucking ridiculously high. For example the armor that you can buy costs 10 bones or more. Armor gives you no bonuses at all. It's strictly aesthetic value. The people that preordered were able to get a Dodge Challenger as their ride. One of the first events they held the prize was a Dodge Challenger lol. People were pissed.
All in all it's just not a good game. I finished up all of the single player plot. You can go back and replay them all but really, what's the point? It's a buggy as shit game. It doesn't really foster any type of community. Even the arkfall events are just people acting retarded just in large numbers. It was fun to start with but now it's just kind of dragged on. There hasn't been any mention of expansion packs, though there are clearly going to be some. The game is really sparse and seems to be hemorrhaging players. Their big Memorial day event was to discount Bits in the shop so you could spend more money on a game clearly going nowhere.
Im still having fun with the game I dont play as much as I had been, maybe a couple hrs a day. But Im about done with everything, they are supposed to be releasing the first dlc in a few weeks. I bought the season pass because the points were a gift. We'll see how it goes but with the last of us and deadpool coming out, having a baby soon, wont play it much. Really using this to carry me over till good stuff releases.
XBL friend bought the like 150 dollar edition and was raving about how it would be the best game ever, hasn't played it in weeks, lol
won't hear me claim otherwise, lol

I didn't keep up with it post-beta (besides the show), but I'm not particularly surprised.
Has anyone started playing this since it went f2p ?
Do you think it's any better now than it was at release?
I've been playing for about a week now it's fun I think for free, but I feel like they want to force you to spend money on the overly expensive store coins just to get by.
