Who puts a cash shop in an unfinished and clearly broken game? I don't consider it an "open beta" since you can freely piss away real money, and servers will not be rolled back / characters won't be wiped.

Something similar happened with STO. That game was nearly dead on arrival but the point is, Cryptic only banned the accounts involved in the Dilithium exploit and the economy recovered in a few days. I'm almost certain they'll do the same thing here.

If someone told me it happened in Champions I wouldn't be surprised. But I didn't follow that game.
Exploits occur in nearly all MMOs. It's how the devs handle the situation that really matters.

Meanwhile, the official forums are hilarious.

Do not do a wipe. I will quit. I will tell everyone who has played D&D with me in RL not to play this. They will listen to me, because I am their Dungeon Master. BTW - My group has no qualms about spending hundreds of dollars on anything that is D&D. Neither do the groups following all the other Dungeon Masters who spent weeks building Foundry quests. If a wipe removes our Foundry missions, this game is doomed. Trust me, gear grinders won't carry this game half as long as us publishers will. Plus, since they whine so much about the economy, most of them are actually totally against spending real money.

Saw that Kripp got banned yesterday from this game and it lead me to this thread. He doesnt know exactly what he got banned for but it seems there are massive exploits abound lol.

He mentions knocking mobs off cliffs, the AH AD thing, and Pirate respawning.... I dont play this game but thought it was interesting considering this is a supposed beta?

This exploit apparently was reported in the closed beta, yet still managed to make it into open beta.

How people continually defend this garbage is beyond me. Not only was the boss kill exploit going on since beta, which flooded the market with gear, but the diamond exploit has been going on for a bit as well. Not to mention the quest sharing 1-60 in an hour bullshit. The game is a mess.

We gonna have this same discussion when something similar happened in GW2? They're completely within their rights to ban people who purposefully exploit shit, as those are the types of people that will end up exploiting shit again if given the chance.

Defending the game is whatever, I enjoy playing it but it has it's problems and certainly this shouldn't have happened but I /will/ defend the way they handle situations like these. It sets the bar for a no-tolerance policy and proves that they might actually give half of a shit about the game.
