obviously playing with the wrong group of people, lol.
In m experience (running with a GWF friend obsessed with DPS) a good rogue will wipe the floor with anyone else. However I've seen my friend beat decent CW and TR consistently. I find it interesting how much you can vary your results by changing things around slightly.
I'm a crit healing spec DC. Have a CW on the way up too but less confident with that.
yeah... thing is I already downloaded and finished 3GB patch, and its downloading it... again or its dam near the same size 3GB patch again so I just cancelled it >.> (especially since its going so slow, it might be 2015 by time it reaches 3GB)
I've.. yet to meet one that can at least come a few million in damage close.. on any form of aoe type fights ;/ I've ran into plenty of somewhat overgeared looking GWF's... rank 7-8 enchants, weapon glow enchant, armor glow enchant, epic shirt/pants etc.
Its not hard for a TR, to toss out 50,000 -> 110,000ish range shocking executions every 10-15 seconds or doing 30,000 -> 50,000 lethal executions with 12,000-17,000/2sec bleeds on the semi high hp mobs O_o
All kinda rape, all over the place.
Yep, were gonna have to eat a 60% base damage nerf :/
Meh, as long s the bleed damage from duelest flurry isn't nerfed and lurker + lethal strike isn't nerfed, and the recovery rate, it will still be high, and the massive gap will still be sort of massive since that is most of the damage .
Duelist's Flurry: The bleed now ticks more slowly. That might take off 1-2 mil depending on if its only like 2/sec -> 3/sec if its like 4 sec its going to be (;つД`)
Feat: Deadly Momentum: The Critical Severity buff from this feat has been reduced to match the tooltip.
This could hurt the most, depending on how much it is, all my damage is pretty much crit spam, so this could affect it a lot.
Encounter and Daily powers now benefit more from the Power stat. This could be really good, depending on how much it is.
overall I don't see anything too severe because.. Lurker assault and duelst flurry "is the main" damage of TR execution spec, shocking execution is pretty much just to finish off some big mob (say theirs one left) or... you want to escape some red circle fast and can't dodge roll, so jump out of the way
Idk, dropping a 25k crit on a punk ass control wizard is fun as fuck.
Though, 60% seems a tad excessive for a nerf; but hey least we aren't GWF's.

Shocking execution for a Lv60 rogue is 1,563-1,563 damage (looking at tool tip), so 60% of that is... really nothing.
(with gear shocking execution it is 17,016-19,916)
and it gets 300% damage bonus from lower hp targets.. then you add in crit severity stacked on from execution spec, and you get that 70,000-110,000 ish shocking execution froma mostly T1 geared TR.
so, yeah at most won't see much more then possibly 10,000-15,000 damage at most off of it.
Half a team of bots is really killing the fun in pvp
Yeah it really does, premade ftw though. Also, armor pen is amazing on pvp, fully armor pen enchanted wiz can pew pew through my astral shield + hallowed ground easily.
I probably still will unless it can reduce a hit from 20-25K with to below 15K with approx -937 damage (guess they would if they got lucky deflection/astral shielding)
Although you can still 1 shot people with lurker assault + lethal strike especially. While shocking execution "Requires" your target to be like 50% or lower hp to do a lot of damage, you can do more so with lethal strike. See shocking execution will at most crit a normal mob in an instance for about 30K at 50%+ hp (stealthed and with crit severity) Shocking execution pretty much 'requires" your target to be below 25% hp (with 5 stacks of duelest flurry crit severity buff and stealthed) to do the 70,000 + damage ) Like run over a cleric or a CW without barrier up full power, and 1 shot them
Example lurker assault -> dulest flurry someone trying to kill you (which won't run away from dulest flurry) -> get 5 stack proc of crit severity -> stealth and lethal strike someone within 5 seconds, they will most likely die from 100% hp
because of the obscene amount of damage and 100% crit chance hit.
Also their boosting the effect of power on encounter powers, so there will be more rape to be had. Guess we'll see, but the nerf seems more for dungeon damage then a pvp nerf.
After playing nothing but pvp....mage seriously needs to be looked at if we're getting all these rogue complaints.
