I did +Strength and -Magic which made me feel like an asshole because the first cutscene is all magic. :\

Ugh, want this game, but I don't want to have to buy a 3DS! Gah! It looks awesome.
I went +speed -luck <.<
I was totally gonna play through Suikoden II again, but this is putting the kibosh on that!
I need to replay Suikoden 2... Maybe once I'm done with this :D
I just uploaded the fully patched version on my PSP and rigged it up so I could load my Suikoden data!
I restarted so I could not impair my very first talent type.![]()
I can't find this game anywhere near me, is it not out until tomorrow?
This will be my first Fire Emblem game.
How similar is this to Final Fantasy Tactics / Ogre Battle / Tactics Ogre?
Anything I should know before playing? I hear you can't grind in these games? I'm about to pick this up tomorrow, the demo was pretty fun.
Like I mentioned earlier up, most retailers are kind of in limbo right now. Seems like some Targets got them in, but Amazon, GameStop and BestBuy are all tied up in knots at the moment, with potential dates for it ranging anywhere between tomorrow and the 26th.
The eShop is probably the best way to get it for now, provided you don't mind the digital copy and the whole bound to hardware thing, otherwise call a store and see if they can give you any idea when they're getting their shipments in. Most GameStops seem to be aware of where they are on the priority ladder.
I tried 3 game stops in my area today, all gave me different answers as to when they are expecting to get it in. Like already mentioned, all answers ranged from tomorrow to Friday to two weeks from now ; ;
Anyone has any tips or a place I can look for tips? not a walk through but more of dos and donts. Like best practices per say on setting up pairs what weapons to use against certain types of enemies etc.

That has some pretty basic beginner tips if you've never played any of the games before and also talks about the new features that other games didn't have.
Also as far as weapons/magic goes, not sure if this game holds up the triangle that others do, don't remember off hand but I think it's like Axe > Lance, Lance > Sword, Sword > Axe. So depending on exactly what you're fighting, the weapon type you use can make a big difference.
Anyone know if Target or Walmart is selling the 3DS/FE bundle? Neither list it on their site and I can't get anyone to answer the phone when I call them. All my Gamestops have told me Friday now for the bundle itself (game they'll have tomorrow) and customer service for my online order is telling me probably another week still most likely so looking for any alternative location to get the bundle (Yes, I know I could just get a new 3DS and buy the game separately, but I think the custom made 3DS looks really cool XD).
I'm not sure anyone but GameStop has them, or so a quick Google search would seem to indicate. I can't find a listing for it on Amazon or Best Buy's sites, unless they pulled them due to lack of stock.
Keep in mind that the FE 3DS is not a 3DS XL. I liked the FE 3DS idea, but given the choice between fancy branding and an XL, I got an XL.
Yeah I know it's not an XL. I was talking with a friend or two and they said they didn't like the display of the XL, sure it's bigger but the resolution isn't any different or something so the images get stretched out a bit (I could be wrong on that...). Either way I liked the feel of the non-XL when I tried it out at Best Buy the other day so I don't think I'm going to be personally missing much there. Besides, the fancy branding just looks so good XD.
Gamefly 'release' date keeps bouncing all over. First it was the 4th, then the 7th, now the 6th. I just want to play it. =(
Gamestop is officially listing the bundle as the 6th for release date. My girlfriend's pre-order of the game itself is officially arriving tomorrow (she got a phone call confirmation) but was told other other pre-orders are coming in on Thursday (for some reason because of how early she pre-ordered she's getting it a day earlier than when the rest are coming in). It's really been a serious clusterfuck by Nintendo for having all these problems. I don't usually play Nintendo stuff so I don't know if this is common with their major releases but yeah, seriously, all I want to do is play it at this point.
