Man, part of me wants to continue on with the game but the grind part of me wants to get everyone to max stats before I go to Chapter 9. I was looking at the Support list on my char and I saw just how many freaking characters I can get and christ, that's a lot of leveling up. I try my best to make sure everyone is equal level so I can mix shit up or incase a chapter has it so certain characters must fight then they atleast are useful.
How does everyone else play? What kind of things do you do?
I am in the same boat. I (somewhat reluctantly) continue with the story as needed, but spend a lot of time working on levels/relationships. I just got to a chapter (not that much further than you, actually) where a TON of side content opened up. Added bonus, a lot of that side content is really challenging. That's gonna keep me busy.
As for what I said up there...

Question about parent>child pass down skills
Spoiler: show
So, at what point do you start to become filthy rich and why/how? I see these comments about buying reeking boxes, but I'm on Chapter 10 and broke as hell.
http://serenesforest.net/fe13/children.html - That site might answer some of your questions. There are some spoiler stuff if you poke around the site but the page itself should help with figuring out what the stats the children will end up with.
I don't know about passing, but Morgan should have access to Pegasus Knight/Dark Flier as long as you have a Male MU, which you apparently do. Sucks having to grind for it, but at least it's obtainable.
edit: Actually, why wouldn't you want Aether? Because there's no other way she'd be able to get that skill.
I now feel like I have not paid enough attention to these things, ha. Kind of annoyed that Anna can't even cozy up to anybody on my roster who isn't already attached.
Do they explain the class system at all in game, or is it just assumed? I hit level 10 and thought a mini guide thing would have popped up.
My first play through I kind of just set people up who looked good together just to get through the story (which is really good imo...). My second play through I'm going to be paying a lot more attention to who's married to who, what stat bonuses they get, skills that will be passed down to children, etc. First round I did normal/casual just to get through it, now I'm thinking of doing hard/classic to get a better feel for everything I sort of skipped over (though I just know classic is going to annoy me at the later levels....)
The upcoming Masked Man Figma is going to be amazing. Can't wait to see pictures of it.
I was starting to get bored of the game. Basic grinding and whatnot, trying to get everyones relationships up then I remembered that I can pair up people and holy balls has that made me go full force on grinding now. Shits so awesome. I'm only on chapter 10 but I have roughly 18 people at level 20, multiple people with A rank in relationships and have made about 100k.
Also, I'm really in love learning everyones backstory through it. And the game informs you of the seals when you get one out of a storyline mission. I got several second seals in Reeking Box fights and never got a thingy. I only got it once I got one from like Chapter 6 or something.
I still have no clue how you're making so much bank. Is there a specific place you're dropping the reeking boxes?
Buy reeking Boxes. Use anywhere. Get 1-2 (S) Bullions from map. At 500 per box and 1000-2000 return per map it's easy. For faster farming use it on Chapter 2 Map. They're weak enough enemies and they usually have good other drops aswell. I have so many weapons and items saved up from it. I have 7 Master Seals just from doing this.
I have used a Reeking Box on every available map so far. It seems that no matter what 1 Bullion (S) is 100% while the second one is about 75% of the time
But are the drops different on Hard per use? Like instead of (S) you get (M)?
