Grinding on hard/lunatic (kinda ruins the point of going lunatic but whatever floats your boat) is best done on dlc maps. There is a dlc map (not released yet) that gives a TON of money. That wont be out for a while, though.

For now, both the free dlc & the roy dlc have 2 villages that give you random items. Should be able to sell them for 200~800 gold a pop (or keep) and the map (especially roy's) give good exp. It feels dirty, though.

I'm playing on Normal because the last time I played Fire Emblem was Scared Stones many many years ago. I didn't want to suck on it and have people dying all the time.

And if you weren't such a little bitch you'd be having an easier time on Hard.

Money is few and far between even in Normal. If I wasn't grinding like this I'd be broke as fuck.

Oh, that's a shame to hear about the money. I was thinking sometime it would just rain gold down on me. I'm doing hard and chapter 11 is giving me one hell of a beating.

In this game, due to grinding, the FE difficulty scale is more along the lines of:

normal = easy
hard = normal
lunatic = hard

I'm new to the FE series, so tell me what I'm missing here;

Is it worth pairing characters up? It looks like the stat boost is nothing significant and losing that persons turn isn't worth it.

It can be depending on the situation. I didn't think it was worth it at first either but the stronger you get, the bigger the bonus to stats. Also, the paired up person has a higher chance(I believe) at helping out in battle or helping the unit dodge an attack. You can make your weaker units able to withstand stronger attacks aswell for leveling. Also, pairing up for relationship grinding is easy as balls.

Awakening has really wanted me to replay Fire Emblem for GBA. The one with Lyn. That will always be my favorite FE game.

Going on 20 hours of Grinding....
