This is my opinion and may or may not reflect that of the other mods/admins:

During games, there will be the same rules we've always had. One-word posts during real time are fine (especially when it's "JULIO" or "TRENT"). But during the week, when all we have to talk about is some stupid thing Skip Bayless said or a night vision video of Rex Ryan jacking it on some girl's feet, we will be enforcing normal General rules. They are spelled out in black and white, and you can still curse and make fun or people and do the shit we always do. The Poopdeck was separated because it needed stricter rules, we don't need to separate Sports to have looser rules.

If you get a warning or infraction from something in any of the sports threads and you feel it is unjustified, PM me. I'll give you my honest opinion. If I agree with you, I'll reverse it and spell it out in modfaps. That doesn't mean I'll never do it myself, even if we're bros. Some of you have some terribad posts, even if they never get reported or infracted. I prefer to just tell you to clean it up rather than warn or infract, but like I said I ain't scurred to pull the trigger. Posts get spammy (and I don't mean spam forum because I click that like once a month and I honestly don't know what you idiots do in there) and while that's very subjective, it's the job of the mobs to make those judgment calls. Like I said, if there's something you don't agree with, PM me.

Lastly, and this is important, if you make an infraction into a big fucking deal by posting the screenshot, antagonizing the mod who did you wrong, cause a shitstorm of MODS=FAGS, etc., then it only tells the reds that you guys need to be reeled in. If two of you get into it (mod or no mod) keep it in PMs, Facebook, Twitter, whatever, because you're only shitting up the thread. Say what you want about Boyiee, but after the initial outrage he stepped away from a lot and just tried to explain himself. He thinks he's right, you guys do not, we get it. And a few warnings or slaps are nothing to get that sandy about, even if most of you think they were unjustified. I think people are overreacting in thinking there will be some "new normal" for the sports threads, but I've been posting here for a while and lurking for even longer, and I'm going to mod them the way they have always been modded unless specifically instructed otherwise. I wanted to be a mod specifically to mod the sports threads because I know what's up. I've been a mod for a while and Leroy and Tweek still have posting privileges, so I think I can control myself. (Oddly enough, the only time someone got bitchy at me was over a massive fucking derail in the Poopdeck, thanks Abandon, lol.) So long story short, don't shoot yourselves in the fucking foot Mike Smith-style (sorry Mossy) and everything will be okay.

If you go back and dive into the mod archives from when we made the poopdeck, you'll fnd the opposite to be true. We said we'd mod it less than GD because no mods want the responsibility of touching the shit that is that subforum. Politics and religion will inherently facilitate discussions that will likely lead to infractions if in GD, so it went to a sub.
