You get income about every 20-30 minutes but it does have some sort of idle detector. If you check back every half hour though it should be fine, I'm getting about 16.3k per tick but left it on over night and only got one tick so there is something limiting AFK farming. Capped Sakuraba and almost capped Grenada by just sitting around and watching animu in between ticks.

So there's a spot in Primordia called Beasts' Lair, and to the NW of it is a probe. How the fuck do i get there? It's not in the cave it seems, i'm assuming the hexagon colors indicate a part of land or elevation? Is it on the top of that cliff?

Some places can't be accessed without a Skell, but the game sometimes gives you missions to go after stuff that's in those areas. I'm sure probes are also there too.

It's a cave, I found it using a skell, so maybe that's a prereq? Speaking of skells, lost mine twice already, so be sure to save more frequently when you get it if you want to save insurance chances. Also, don't fast travel while in a skell unless you know it's safe- warped to one spot that was safe on foot, but instantly aggroed skells.

This game is huge and so interesting. I don't know I think I spent at least 3 hours wondering the town talking to NPCs and didn't even get to all of them (I remember affinity was important, plus they actually had some good backstory) My only gripe is that the text is so small, I can't read a lot of it. my eyes suck ;;

I feel like an idiot, but I'm not sure if this was in the original xenoblade. For those unsure of which class to level up, I highly recommend the Full Metal Jaguar path. Utsusemi:Ni at the end, along with what I just learned 35 hours in- You can use Commando's Shadowrunner as sneak/invis to avoid detection (not sure if there's a limit, but was able to sneak past sight, sound, and ether? aggro mobs just now. Coupled with Winged Viper's Blood Sacrifice, you'll always have tp. This would have made the earlier parts of the game so much more easier, but at least I'm using it now to get to Cauldros, although I'm not sure why a level 21 affinity quest has me headed there.

For field skills, definitely go mechanical to place probes, there's a lv3 mechanical probe in Primordia that made me quickly decide to focus on it. Also, you need less button presses the higher your skill, so you can potentially place a probe while running from aggro if you're quick and high enough.

Like Tenkiki said Mechanic should be maxed ASAP because it's required for probe placing and it's also how you get more Mining/Research Probes from treasures. The default cap is 4 but once you get 4 you get a quest on the mission board that unlocks level 5 though you'll need a flying skell for it.

Elma has Utsusemi-ga with Ghost Factory (which incidentally you can also learn in a late game Affinity quest) and combined with Lin's Stoneskin-ga with Shield Wall means I take pretty much no damage a large portion of the time. I mastered Duelist first and honestly haven't found anything else that can match the damage I've been doing with it. Rising Slash + Taunt + Magnum Edge + Power Dive does 8k*3 crit consistently and has made every boss fight trivial for the most part. Assault Rifle is also one of the few weapons that can actually topple which lets you chain topple bosses if Lin initiates and she has the skill that extends topple effects.

I went Galactic Knight, and as long as my units call out for shit, I can keep them fully healed, and do good damage. When they don't, they just fall over and it's sort of dumb as to whether or not they do it, from what I can tell.

Did a huge run of Noctis, and I'm pulling in a bunch of ore and money every tick now; had to place my three storage units, to not run back to town so often. Placed one Boost that gave me about 30% increase to my total revenue, in the area I put it in, so that's nice too. Anyone know if Probe level increases the chance to mine rare materials? They seem to be on lower quality levels, but I have so much mineral coming in, I don't mind putting them there if it helps.

Not mid battle but if you go into the Active Member section of the party menu the person in the first slot is the one you control.

So the first mining probe a quest had me put down is in an area where under "mineable resources" it says None. Should I be changing that to a research probe?

You still get Miranium from those spots you just won't get any rare resources. Unless you are in dire need of money for whatever reason it's almost always preferable to get Miranium to help boost the AM since R&D via using their products is slow as shit.

You can get lost in this game worse than any other game I've ever played. The drive to explore and see where you can jump/stealth to is just too much.

Most of the time my stealth ability doesn't seem active for use. Whats up with that D:

You need 1000 tp to use it, which is why it pairs well with Blood Sacrifice. The loss of health will instantly regenerate since you're outside of combat. I was able to stroll along to Cauldros and grab guarded probes along the way easily.
