Anyone have any good info on Skells and what to farm for the lvl 30 weapons? 3.1 million money, but I don't really get the differences between the mechs besides HP/Fuel/maneuverability. Can they all use the same equipment, or are some restricted by the type you get (Light vs Heavy).

I'll have L5 of the current shops I have unlocked, by tomorrow, so I can wait a bit if that helps with gear purchases, for armor; I understand there's a weapon I should be farming for, but I don't know the exact name; is it the HOMURA?

All the skells can use the same equipment, so you don't have to worry about being locked out. I bought one of each type of skell, and for story purposes, the heavy models blow the others out of the water, especially the Amdusias with its melee oriented overdrive. The light and medium skells were constantly blowing up on boss fights and after buying 4 Amdusias, I had a much easier time. Haven't tried the other heavy skell, but the Amdusias also come equipped with a very powerful scythe that auto crits on back attacks and attacks twice, and all of its armor increases thermal damage significantly.

The main weapons to look out for are Phoenix (huge thermal AoE, great for farming or clearing out aggro, buyable), G/G2 Buster (staggers, which is OP for skells, G is buyable, G2 is farmed and is conal instead of single target), and a personal favorite is W-Crusher to apply physical res down. I farmed for these at FN 409 and spamming Phoenix, hovering in between the 2 buildings (party members only had phoenix to not waste time single targeting). The Homura apparently only drops from a boss and if you don't obtain it, you have to get it in time trial mode. I never received one, so I can't comment on it, but I've been doing fine without it. One thing to look out for while farming are intergalactic rarity weapons as they have the damage rating equivalent to their lv50 versions and a 20% cooldown reduction.

That's what I've noticed so far from as far as I am (Chapter 7). You buy them from the Weapon/Armor shop.

I assume you farmed tickets for the harder to get materials but which method did you use? Did you hire 3 scouts and just fuck shit up until they hit max scout level? Or did you mostly do Squad Tasks and Missions? I'm starting to save up my tickets since I have the other prerequisites done (130k money, 100k Storage, etc.) but was wondering if you had a preferred method.

I read that Skells can only equip their weight class and below. So Heavy Skells can equip everything. Medium Skells can do medium and Light armor, and light Skells can only equip light armor. This correct?

Go to the Blade barracks. If you used up all your insurance, you need to buy a brand new skell.

I suppose it would depend on how your over-all game has been going. If you've rushed, then it's likely you'll need to farm the materials, and if you level 3 squad members, while doing so, you'll also get the tickets required to speed things up. Joker farming, I believe.

For me, I've been going slower, so I've been gaining tickets to buy mats, and I'm only lvl 30. I just made about 200 this morning, when the squad I was in finished up it's kills, and I completed the available squad missions that became available by killing the targets. I think that a good squad + doing those missions, will be the fastest way to actually get tickets, but you can't kill all of the targets and do the missions, so you have to risk the fact that others will take them out so you can do the missions.

For ticket items, I just kept hopping between squads until I found a set of easy tasks to complete. I got a few of the items in time trial, but the drop rate sucked and the fights were difficult. I did farm the XeDom in Sylvalum at FN401 and Seidr at FN505 in Cauldros for their parts, but fuck the XeDom's stupid drop rate and gravity attacks.

The fact that squad missions disappear when other people complete them is the dumbest thing to me but apparently a level 50 Skell with Phoenix and G-Buster is enough to break the parts on the World Nemesis and just abandon for tickets so I think I might just try that. Apparently you can trade in the Nemesis spoils for a good amount of tickets and just by breaking parts you are guaranteed some drops even if you don't take his HP down.

I have about 1k tickets saved up but you need like 4-5k even if you farm the easy parts so it's a slog regardless.

So if anyone wants to power level up to 55+ with ease all you need is some level 30 Amdusias skells with the default scythe weapon and the crusher weapons for safety. Go to Grieving Plains between 19:00 and 5:00 and look for Immortal Ictus immediately to the east of where you spawn in. They're level 60 but super weak, pretty much 2 back boosted scythe attacks will instantly kill them if you aim for their head > butt parts first. At 48 when I started they gave about 3.8k XP without exp boosting equipment. There are 3 of them in that area and you can fast travel to respawn them. If it goes past 5:00 there is a base camp a bit further to the east you can use to set the time back.

If you want to speed it up you can buy gear with exp boost on all pieces from Sakuraba, it still works even if you are in your skell. You can probably go to 60 off these honestly.

Another tip for those who are having trouble with saving up to buy both skells and gear for the whole party, the Verus model that costs 268,000 comes equipped with a G Buster, which normally costs 179,200 by itself, effectively getting a skell frame for only 88,800. You might be able to do the above power leveling with 4 G Busters if you don't want to get 4 heavy skells. Also, just randomly found out that the Putrid Falsaxum near FN308 can drop the scythe too.

Edit: Just tried the squad missions themselves in the barracks and not just the tasks in the bottom, I never knew about these or how they are used up after only 1 attempt. These would have sped up the process significantly, but at least they're a really nice source for monster drops. Not sure what I should use my set of tickets on now...

Save for the Ares 90 mech materials so you can farm the mobs to make the custom L60 skells.

Picked up the L30 Amdusias, farmed up Intergalactic gear for all but one slot (yellow saber side weapon, from L5 shop had good augments for a slight lack of damage), and even picked up a couple of L50 intergalactic Phoenix as a bonus. If I wanted, I could pick up 3 more heavy skells and put on Blue/Green versions of the Red gear I'm using, and just light up the night, but that's a lot of fuel down the drain. The difference it makes, on some huge class enemies, is unreal, and even level 44 mechs are one-shot by whichever G weapon hits one time, on a single enemy, vs the cone one. Phoenix just wrecks anything in it's aoe, and the party mops up anything that might have survived.

It's significantly OP, but it was a lot of fun making the skell.

Something to keep in mind about Squad missions is that, if you personally fail them, they can be re-done, but you can only complete it once per squad event. However, there is a loop-hole I found. Some of the missions have a bonus objective, such as investigating a treasure box, or killing suspicious enemies. This spawns another mission, which is added to the current squad mission pool, so what you do is fail/abandon the current mission, go complete the newly added one, get your tickets, go back into the prior mission, and rinse/repeat until the Squad event timer runs out. If nobody else is doing the missions, you can get a pretty good amount of tickets in a short amount of time, along with a butt load of materials.

Super easy method to farm tickets (like 300-400 per 5 minute run) is to just do the Global Nemesis fight and specifically target the breakable parts. I think Telethia has 7? (2x Wings x2, Tail, Head, Body) then Abandon the Mission via the battle menu. You'll still get any credit towards the RP reduction and you'll get drops based on any parts you break. Depending on how lucky you get with duplicate drops you can rake in anywhere from 300-400 tickets by turning them in through the Network console. With 4 default level 50 Amudias skells with store bought level 50 Phoenix + G Buster you can easily break all parts in about 5 minutes and take 2 HP bars in the process.

Also I wouldn't worry too much about fuel costs. Once you beat the game you get access to support missions which give you 30k Miranium and 300k gold for a 30s mission. It takes longer to load into and out of the mission than the actual encounter itself. Just use that to refuel whenever you get low.

Also if you need to farm BLADE medals to do the Global Nemesis fight use the scout console near the mission board and hire 3 level 9 dudes. Run out and kill a random level 40 mob and they'll get Star rank instantly. Release them to get 1 BLADE medal each. Doing this and farming the easy mats can net you an Ares.90 in about 3-5 hours depending on drops and how many level 50 skells you had before hand.
