Is Meteor (Lv. 50 Skell weapon) worth buying or should I just buy the level 50 Phoenix weapon?

Stick with Phoenix, or try grabbing a lv50 galactic Phoenix off lv ~45 Puges in Sylvalum
Exploring sylavum while I was doing the affinityu quest to get Alexa and happened across the super rare weather spawn tyrant, Ignit, the Ultimate Chaos. Lv 84 tyrant. Like holy shit lol. Like really. Super boss? Was so big I couldn't even see all of its body before I died

At Level 50, I couldn't beat the L62 Tyrant, for my last Off the Record quest, with 3 L50 Skells, decked in Phoenix/Busters, and 1 L30 skell. Might be able to do it with 4 though.
You can farm a much better Phoenix and G Buster in Sylav.
So, a while back, I picked up two loot drops that I couldn't figure out what they were; they didn't show up anywhere in my inventory, and I mostly forgot about them. Fast forward to earlier today, I go to Develop New Gear, and in the Skell weapon section, I get two pop ups. They were both L50 weapons, one of which is the Detonation-F, which is a Back weapon. To give you an idea of the power difference, the L50 Phoenix has 7496 power, and is AOE. The Detonation-F is also AOE, but does 125440 damage; enough to make mince-meat of about anything L60 and below; blew up about 80% of the Off the Record Archeology L62 Tyrant, with back-to-back uses, due to a cockpit proc. Otherwise, it's 2 minutes on the cool-down, and uses like 2k Fuel. >_>;
Makes me wonder just how hard the L60 Detonation-F weapon will hit for....
I'm gonna have to find that now. lol
Thanks again for the advice about farming the weapons. I ended up upgrading my armor to go full TH mode and farmed there for about 30-45mins. Ended up with 2-3 Intergalactic Phoenixes and about 4-5 Intergalactic G-Busters among other things.
Also ended up finishing the main story. Good stuff.
Looking through the strategy guide more now that I don't have to worry about spoilers makes me realize how terrible it really is. It feels like they just half-assed it. What is the point of telling me every quest description/requirement if you're not going to tell me where to get said item? The bestiary is nice, but where the fuck do they spawn? It makes no sense considering they have decent/good collectible maps for each continent in the guide (just say something like "NW Primordia" for example. And for the bestiary they have each hexagon numbered in another section. Good thing they have a list of all the achievements though. /rant
What superweapon(s) should I be working on first as a priority over others?
Gonna start working on farming for Ares 90 now.
I'm 1400/1400 on Reward Tickets. What should I be spending them on? So I'm not sitting at the cap letting them go to waste.
Ares 90, then whatever is the strongest you've found, via blueprints. They are in L4-5 chests and drop from L60+ humanoid weapons. Most L60 come from Affinity Missions
Ares parts:
100,000 Miranium
2 Cimmerian Cinnabar -- common item, not purchasable with tickets
2 Golden Yggralith Heart -- 636 Reward Tickets each (Buy these)
4 Silver Vita Core -- 210 Reward Tickets each (Buy these)
8 Seidr Control Device -- 138 Reward Tickets each
12 Crude Neilnail Mask -- 210 Reward Tickets each (Buy these)
12 Advanced Core -- 138 Reward Tickets each
16 Upgraded Lens -- 58 Reward Tickets each
The others can be farmed with L50 skells and some L50 Phoenix/Gbusters.
Ares 90 is definitely my priority. The Superweapon thing is more for when I finish Ares.
I'm in the same boat as Valisk with Tickets/Rank. Is there a quick way to level that up faster?
If you can't farm Telethia, or leech a PT for it, then Squad Tasks and missions are the next fastest. Beating the game and having an L50 super weapon makes things a lot quicker because you can spam a weapon, like the Detonater, then go do one quick Squad Support mission, and get enough to completely re-fule your skell, and 300K; you just need an L50 Skell and L50 Intergalactic Phoenix. You can also grind 5K division points just as quickly, via a different mission.
I'm not saying rush to beat the game; there's a metric fuck-ton of stuff to do, but once you're level 50, that should be the priority because it allows you to make the most efficient use of your time while grinding to the next power level.
I've been 60 for a long time since I spent most of my time exploring as opposed to doing the story. I think I was at 30+% of Mira surveyed when I finally decided to start chapter 10 and finish the story.
Is there a certain strategy to use on Telethia? I think I was about 35ish when I last tried it and it didn't go very well. I've been doing the Support missions you mentioned and they're a breeze. This is what I currently have for reference:
4x Lv. 60 Characters
2x Lv. 50 Heavy with IG Phoenix & G-Buster
1x Lv. 30 Heavy with Unique (?) Phoenix & G-Buster
1x Lv. 30 Medium (I think) with G-Buster
I'll be buying another Lv. 50 heavy tomorrow and I already have IG G-Buster and Unique Phoenix waiting for that. I'll probably go back out and farm more IG Phoenixes though since I only have 2 so far (but plenty of G-Busters).
Maybe I'm just overthinking it due to how my previous attempt went?
I'm only 56, so I've never tried it, but I keep hearing to use Ares 90, break his parts, abandon and re-do the mission, and hope he doesn't put up a reflect against your weapon's damage type. I don't know how conventional/super L50 weapons do against it, but I don't think you'd get too far. With 90% Opening Art augment, my Detonator can blow up most any L60 Tyrnant, but the stronger ones won't die if I don't one-shot them. While clearing out Noctilus, I decided to try Joker and he went splat, in one hit from it, but only took of about 70% of that ground L74 NM, who's right below Joker. I got a cockpit proc, used Detonator again, and it didn't do much; might have actually missed, but I had to book out pretty quick right after.
Give it a whirl, but save before, and if you go splat, just re-load and save yourself a blade medal.
There is a support mission that takes forever. Thankfully my rank was at 8 or 9 before I beat the game.
I just want it to be known that the appendage targeting systems is completely ass. FUCKITY FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!!!!!!1111
Targeting at all is balls.
