Btw i've been farming intergalactic phoenix weapons for all my lvl 50 amdusias in the FN406 puges. Still haven't gotten an intergalactic g2 buster, but i really don't mind farming for the next few hours cuz i can play agdq on the big screen while farming. How low is this drop rate? I only got 1 phoenix so far. The puges at the Halal base or w/e in the southern tip of Sylvalum only drops lvl 30 skell gear. Anything else notable to farm?

IG drops rain for me. Make sure you have Treasure Sensor gear on. Unlike XI, it actually makes a difference here.

Why do people have a hard-on for phoenix weapons? My G2-Busters always have higher damage ratings than the phoenixes; what am I missing? Is it just because it's AOE? The G2 hits a front cone.

The AOE range/damage. It makes support missions go quite fast. I never knew the G2 was conal until these posts. I had been curious why people liked it over G1 and now I know why. Guess I'll have to try it out.

Is there any way to SORT ITEMS in the fucking sell menu? I hit 999 armors, so I went to sell some shit... I see that I can filter by slot, and there's clearly some sorting being done since all similar items are next to each other, but did they seriously not think to provide SORT BY LEVEL as an option?!

I haven't seen one. It's one of the simplest things they could (should) have included. I think I've only used the Elemental sorting once.

Finally unlocked Mia. That last boss was a bitch. And do they expect me to fight that level 82 Tyrant Skell on foot? If so, that shit ain't happening until I do A LOT of farming.

I was gonna farm Rexoskell for the Lv.60 Skell mat, but after trying it once, I'm probably just going to buy that crap. I read some posts about the fight that I'll try first though.

Found the lv50 skell kraken club (all the damage is from a single autoattack) that you can dual wield.

The best part is how easy it is to get. The sidearm weapon is called Diskbomb and they drop off milsaadi. There is a group of 6 near FN513, down the mountain path near an archeological treasure, just autoattack the one near the treasure until more milsaadi appear, then nuke with phoenix. The weapon needs a specific augment though (MSL-MAG IV/V), so make sure to have some TH equipped. It's probably one of the best sidearms, doing damage surpassing arts and gives ~1000 GP per volley for quick overdrives.

Finally, to upgrade the augment to IX/X, the genuine shafts drop from the lv 58 Zig NM guarding the bridge to kitsune fortress in SE Cauldros. You need to fight it on foot and break its appendages for a good drop rate. This upgrade makes the weapon go from good to what you see in the image.

Damn, I'll have to go get some of those; is it L50 or L60 weapon (not supers). I haven't found any regular L60 weapons, so far, so I'm guessing it's L50. With two, it's basically infinite over-drive, for Skells.

Also, I ran into Crimson weather, in Sylvalum; killed the one rare, at the southern entrance, from Primordia, but died on the giant NM, at the lake. Didn't save either, and I didn't want to waste an Ares90 death, so I just quit. T.T

thanks for that! definitely gonna need to farm it. Question on the Ares 90 as i'm close to getting my first one. Any specific weapons i need to get for it besides a G2-buster? Or do i need all super weapons? I don't want to gimp out on my first one.

Stock weapons only; you can't even add augments to it, but there are augment slots on each weapon, armor, and the skell itself.

It takes care of all but the biggest Tyrants, and even those can be killed if you farm the appropriate augments, but that's better suited for an L60 Skell/weapons.

I watched some youtube vids with people doing that insane Ghostwalker infiinito-overdrive build. Stuff is neato, but I'm not gonna go for that.

i'm seriously terrible in the ground, how the fuck am i supposed to farm up 4 silver vita hearts and 12 crude neilnail masks, i'm having so much trouble beating the fucking vita time attack alone. =\ my damage is so shitty even w/ almost full lvl 55-60 stuff

You buy them with tickets.

Buy these:

2 Golden Yggralith Heart -- 636 Reward Tickets each
4 Silver Vita Core -- 210 Reward Tickets each
12 Crude Neilnail Mask -- 210 Reward Tickets each

Farm these or buy them:

8 Seidr Control Device -- 138 Reward Tickets each
12 Advanced Core -- 138 Reward Tickets each
16 Upgraded Lens -- 58 Reward Tickets each

Squad missions are probably your best bet right now, and when you get Ares, you can farm Global Nemesis by breaking their parts and abandoning the mission.

The drop rate on those items suck, so go the ticket route. For those having trouble staying online, try using a wired connection as I haven't been disconnected as much when I switched.

I think I may be done 100%ing the game soon as the only thing left is NLA, which probably only has heart to hearts, affinity shifts, and blood lobster. Still can't believe my last normal mission was a random one in Sylvalum that wasn't part of any chain. Despite that, I greatly enjoyed the side quests more than the main story. My only complaint would be as to how many die, but I'm amazed that the game technically doesn't have any missables despite all the deaths.

I can't believe there's one with an optional objective to actually defeat the lv99 NM, but the conclusion you get for defeating it is worth it.

These weren't that bad to farm. If you can recruit people with high potential (400+), it makes it pretty easy. Even without them and my normal characters, I was clearing the fight in about 2-3 mins on average. Only 1 fight gave me trouble and took over 10mins.

Tried for a couple of hours to get an Ultra Ether Sniper Rifle, with good augments, but even with 4x class + full treasure hunter, gold sniper riffles were extremely rare and never a one worth keeping. I did find some kick ass other weapons, including a Dual Gun with L15 Potential, R.ATK, R. ACC + Empty slot for when I eventually go infinite overdrive.

Threw away/treasure dealt so many javelins....

That sounds like a luck of the draw type situation. As long as you're a class that uses the weapon it should drop often enough. What I'm mad at is the fact that unique weapons don't really exist unless they're longswords. There is no there is no receding rust or chief equivalent for photon sabers or pretty much anything else.
I mean yeah, there are many OP builds in the game, none as easy, comparable and readily attainable as receding rust+memewalker.
