But the switch 2 is backward compatible. Also it would make no sense to have two different "definitive editions."

game was build for Gamecube and they did a 'port' for WII release that was ok but nothing different much then the game cube version

or BOTW that has a WIIU and Switch version

it's referenced in the dlc in the same way saga and gears are, but really no they aren't in any major way. We know it's canon as a seperate universe within the Xeno multiverse. Or at least that's how I interpret the scene

I’ve been itching to revisit XCX. Probably the best battle system and exploration out of all the Nintendo era Xenogames. Please keep the “definitive edition” on the switch please Nintendo.

Edit : Bandai Namco sold the last of their shares to Nintendo in 2011, and Nintendo has 100% owned the company since Nov 2024

Too lazy to google it, but I wanna say Nintendo also used Monolith to help finish one of their recent 1st party IP releases too.

The Xeno franchise is 100% Nintendo at this point.
