If you live long and prosper, you can do it. Also, I never played Xeno 1 but I did play 2-3 and never actually finished three due to losing intrest. Chronicles X is a better game than all of them, in my opinion, and doesn't require any of them to be understood; you'll just miss some tangent lore homages, unless the extra content ties it in somehow.

X is fucking amazing, i played the shit out of it and got to the endgame. I was so thrilled when i got my Ares Skell, you feel like a god. Ether Blossom build, you feel like a god. There’s just so much fun stuff to do in this game.

No qualms about buying this one when I get more time.
