The 105/120mm from the Abrams would explode, yes. I'm pretty sure 85mm rounds wouldn't even penetrate though.

the ones they'd use to attack those have a reverse cone that makes a super-concentrated "beam" at the center which basically pokes a hole through damn near anything and even if the actual round doesn't penetrate will essentially fill the inside with fire and shrapnel

He's asking if the round would go through and through because the tanks armor is so old, not whether it would penetrate at all.

The delayed fuse is fast enough and would explode, it would make for some really jawsome videos of turret pops

I was under the impression as soon as they hit any meaningful resistance they do the beam shit and would just blow apart as it happened.
