N. Korea calls on foreigners living in S. Korea to devise evacuation plans
SEOUL, April 9 (Yonhap) -- North Korea on Tuesday called on foreigners living in South Korea to devise evacuation plans, further escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

North Korea's Asia-Pacific Peace Committee said in a statement monitored in Seoul that foreign nationals should find out in advance where they can take shelter as well as examine evacuation plans to leave the country.

The remarks come as the communist country has repeatedly said it will turn Seoul and Washington into a "sea of fire" and launch pre-emptive nuclear attacks against its enemies.

More seriously than the Sistar picture, there's a fair amount to do here especially if you like outdoors stuff. Of course there's Seoul, which is just massive. Much like New York, there's so much to see, do and eat there that most tourists won't see half of it. Away from Seoul, there's a lot of beaches (it's a peninsula after all), skiing in the winter and hiking during the other seasons, and rafting and stuff like that. There's Jeju Island, which really has it's own culture, cuisine, language and scenery. It's home to the tallest mountain in SK, as well as a number of beach resorts, biking trails, etc. Gyoungju is the former capital back during the Shilla Dynasty, so if you like historical places there's plenty to see there. They've got everything from giant Buddhist temples (Bulguksa) to old-timey astrological observatories (Chumseongdae) to the graveyard of kings, and of course the requisite museums. My personal favorite area is the southeast corner, where Ulsan and Busan are. Busan is the 2nd largest city in SK. It has the most famous beaches (Haeundae), incredible seafood, festivals of some sort almost every weekend (Fireworks, Cherry Blossoms, International Film, etc.), and lots of neat places for shopping around the Seomyeon area. Anyway, trying to be really brief with this since it's way off topic, but clearly I didn't succeed at that. Oh well
