Can we just fuel up Dennis Rodman and send him over to have a play date with Kim?
Can we just fuel up Dennis Rodman and send him over to have a play date with Kim?
Can we change the title to "North Korean 2017 Darwin Award Championships" cos this seriously looks like its heading for Curbstomp Fight territory....
Ignoring the massive humanitarian and environmental costs of a preemptive nuclear strike, general consensus is that NK's facilities are too far underground/heavily fortified to confidently say we can take them out.
So easy on the "glass'em," cowboy.
looks like North Korea has stated it is considering striking US bases in Guam

They'll do fookin nuttin.
Don't we have the capability to down missiles electronically and worse case shoot it down?
Was told earlier in the thread we miss 50% (?) of our tests and we know the trajectory of those so RIP
Electronically I believe would mainly be via hacking their launchers / etc and causing malfunctions - not something you can dial up after a launch has already happened.
We -can- shoot down ICBMs, but not reliably enough for anyone to feel particularly comfortable about it.
Calling their bluff, they want us to have our eyes on Guam so they can strike Seoul and get away with even greater casualty numbers.
Pretty much this. They can shit talk all they want they do something stupid like that and its "glassed ass" country for them. Would be all the excuse needed to put them down. What would concern me though is how fast can they get people there though. Realistically if they seriously find NK to be a credible threat you'd think the military would start major sending troop reinforcements to SK and Japan to be ready in the event shit hit the fan. I actually feel for the south korean's as they're the ones gonna take the brunt of this gobshites initial damage.
From what I've seen though NK's airforce and navy are woefully weak and a low threat to Modern Warfare, US forces would rule the sea and sky and have little issue dealing with NK subs so long as they dont rig em up with nukes for a kamikaze run. Most of the danger is from the NK ground forces and how they would attempt to rush towards seoul and other major populated areas. The only hope is if they can neutralise them or keep them back long enough to get enough reinforcements in to drive em out and take down NK.
Really though wish NK would just STFU for a change I mean seriously are they TRYING to force and endgame scenario where they get the nuclear BBQ? I mean why constantly draw attention to yourself with threats and other BS. If you didnt cry for attention noone would care about you, they certainly wont invade you but its like they want the US to attack. I believe even china told them years ago to keep their head down but they didnt listen.
The biggest danger with all of this is that the second korean war doesnt kick off because of a decleration but by accident because most likely NK does something stupid that forces the US to retaliate and it escalates into a full nuclear war at its worst. I just hope they prevent the whole thing from going Nuclear because heaven help em if it does.
Seoul I believe is within artillery range of the North's forces. Would essentially be the USAF playing whack-a-mole to try and contain the damage from NK but what info is out there would say the urban areas would be at the greatest risk from any initial assault.
Their airforce is relatively poor compared to say the US or China, but they are one of the few countries even trying to field a submarine force capable of launching nuclear tipped missiles. It's one of the tripods of nuclear deterrence. Intercontinental missiles, submarine based 2nd strike capability and bomber-equipped nuclear strikes. They have 1, they are close on the submarine one (although way behind on being able to stay hidden from us and I guarantee there is a sub based outside of NK tracking the one nuclear capable submarine whenever it leaves harbor) and once you can put a nuke on a missile it is technological child's play to put it on a plane (the probably have this already actually, the warhead can be larger), which means they have the same nuclear position as America.
Welcome to the 1950s NK, please don't blow us all up, let's see how it works out in 50 years.
So what's the response when Kim parades his arsenal out and demands lifting of all sanctions under threat of nuclear bombardment?
Call the bluff? Tell him to fuck off?
What's really funny is that for the last 50 years NK has been developing underground Evangelion cities and the ones your see on the surface that are always empty are actually a front they have a vast network of bomb shelters and cities under the surface and aren't afraid to launch nukes because the retaliation won't affect them so when the entire world glasses each other they will be the only ones left and will rule the world from their secret cave at the legion of doom.
