Is it as simple as she's seeing causation between immigration and war like: Muslims want to come to US therefore we bomb them

and she's seeing we want to bomb NK... but doesn't see north koreans wanting to emigrate from NK which doesn't make sense to her since war needs to be preceded by a country's population wanting to resettle elsewhere? Hence the #nomuslimbanever?

I get it now, if she was able to accurately put her thoughts down in that tweet she thinks because there are so few people wanting to emigrate from Nkorea relative to [muslims] that the ban on NK citizen travel is hypocritical which exposes something about the 'muslim ban' and therefore we shouldn't have the ban on those predominant muslim countries in the first place

I've only ever watched clips of people who were supposedly smuggled out or otherwise escaped and if I'm to believe them then yeah, it isn't possible to make a public exodus out of nkorea

don't think measuring how many people want to leave a given country into yours should be the main factor in determining travel bans anyway though. And don't think all travel bans have to have the same reasons for them too

Haha thinking people there have human rights and can just leave. Forget leaving the country they aren't even allowed to travel freely in country without permission which is often denied. You stay where they put you and live there till they tell you to leave or you die. And if you are caught leaving/trying to leave the country in certain countries (China) they will send you back... and yeah being sent back means prison at best torture and death because you are obviously a traitor for leaving.

Of course all of this need not apply to political elite and even just the general population in the capital has it a little easier which from what I've been told used to be the only area you could really visit several years ago when it was still ok to travel there. Gotta put on a show for visitors lol
