I once knew a guy in high school who told me that he'd rather his family and girlfriend die of any diseases stem cells may help cure than any advancement done in that field because it was the will of god. He was also hit by a car and believed god saved him. I asked him if wasn't serious, he said it was. He had to go to the hospital because of it, but it was through god's will that the doctors were able to save him with treatment and medicine.
